I am a huge fan of Metropol. I always go the Guaynabo or Isla Verde. I have visited Fajardo and the one at Roosevelt Ave. Service is always great and food is always good. This is my first visit to Barceloneta and I'm sure that I will never return to this location ever. For some reason this location has access control, one entrance and one exit at opposite sides. To be fair, it is a pretty busy location. This is an inconvenience for handicap people but I guess there could be a work around this. Now, the Service, the one thing that I love about Metropol. It took them 55 minutes to bring the food and it was cold!!!! Apparently our waitress left her shift and the new one didn't know left from right. The other thing about service, the waitress asked us to pay at the door because she was too busy to process our check. The line to pay is next to bar so there is constant traffic across the line to pay. I spoke to the manager about this and he said that I can pay at my table and then he simply left. What am I supposed to do? Play tug of was between the manager and the waitress? He should've taken care of my check right there or call the waitress. Maybe this was a "one off" but the manager attitude was much less to be desired. The two stars are because the food still tasted great. If not, there would've...

To begin with, the menu has so many choices i couldnât make up my mind, so i asked the waiter who made it even more difficult by telling us the specials. The drinks were on point (LIT+ and a mango mojito+++), an A+ on the appetizers (see pictures) and the food was simply the best paella Iâve had since We were in Madrid; great mixture of chicken and shell fish, it tasted freshly prepared, the rice was grainy and the scallops, mussels, clams, and lobster tasted very fresh. A shout out to our waiter Josia (pronounces Ho-sea) Who was excellent, on point and made the overall experience even better. Definitely a must visit if youâre ever in the area. PD. Just like a business itâs all about location location location, with food presentation presentation presentation...
Read moreWent with a group of 12. Started with the neon green rita. Really good with melon instead of lime. Really good. The table shared 2 plates of appetizer samplers with fried 0lantains, fried chicken chunks, marinated flank steak and fried pork. The entire plate was quite tasty. Personal favorite is the fried pork. Followed this with a traditional margarita that was quite passable. The bacailatos were very good and then mixed seafood mozingo. The seafood was flavorful, plentiful and the proper textures. I had a side of red beans and rice. Very good. I tried the congri that one of the other had. The congri was really good. Service was reasonably prompt with some large parties in the restaurant. The waitstaff was very friendly and patient with us. Great meal and would return...
