Google has asked I tell others why I loved this place, so here you go internet.... If you're searching for dinner theater of a southern variety then this McDonald's is the place for you. Upon arrival opt to park, as the drive thru will be continuously full of customers already enjoying the quality service of this establishment. Once inside you'll join your fellow patrons in line, or some mob form of congregation, in the economy sized lobby. Separation between those who have paid and have not is nonexistent, in order to cultivate a feeling of community with your new found friends...after all, you will be spending the foreseeable future with each other. When it's your turn to order you'll be able to take in the full stage of characters responsible for turning your words into a completed food product. Do be (more)patient with them. It appears most, if not all, of the employees are juggling very complex social calendars that require their attention on nearly a constant basis. If you were able to pull up a chair you could listen to the intricacies of local lore, current events, and where people are treating their glaucoma that evening. By now you are probably in need of an intermission, so I suggest visiting the drink fountain while waiting for someone to bring your food from the heat rack to the counter. The drink fountain contains the normal varieties of soft drinks one can expect. The exception at this establishment is..the tea. Southerners are known for their sweet tea, which this location does not skimp on..at all. There's also the un-sweet tea for those who prefer the natural option. But what really sets this McDonald's apart is their 3rd tea selection....Diet Sweet Tea. Previously unknown to this reviewer, so please follow up with an evaluation of this concoction. My only guess is that this tea leads to a healthy form of diabetes. Now that you're refreshed make your way back to the counter, shuffling through the masses of new friends that have arrived in your absence. Someone will nearly be ready to pick up your order from the heat rack, place it in a to-go bag, and hand deliver it to you 4 ft away. With your meal in hand you'll want to quickly exit the premises in order to let any new comers enjoy the full experience.
In conclusion, I have no choice but to award this establishment an A+ .....for consistency. According to Google, this McDonald's has been able to maintain the same reviews for 4 years or more regarding service and staff....

Read moreCame here around 3:00 got in the parking lot to the drive-thru around 2:45 the line is wrapped around the building, terrible area for this McDonald's. The only McDonald's in bardstown. Didn't get my order taken 3:30 and waited in line for almost an hour because they have the lanes blocked off and you can't exit from the inside lane. I went to go take my order and the associate on the drive-thru Mike was very rude. Kept getting a snarky attitude with me because I asked if the shake machine was up to get a chocolate shake for my pregnant wife. She got an attitude with me and said she doesn't know why it wasn't up so I asked if there was a detailed explanation for that politely. She went and got the manager and said it was a runny shake machine. Wouldn't put that girl back on the mic to save their life because she has no idea how to take orders, ask for help, or get help. Then proceeded to tell me that I couldn't add anything to a plane McRib. Lol. Terrible service, got my order wrong too,... Took almost an hour to take my order, nobody here knows what they're doing, I would not recommend coming here if it was the last fast food restaurant in bardstown. You're better off going to Kroger getting some french fries and some precooked cheeseburgers and making them yourself. Horrible management horrible staff. One star permanently for me. If they had a no-sar option they would get...
