Marylou's Coffee — Restaurant in Barnstable

Went in the shop with two of the hardest working girls in there. They seem to always have a positive attitude and smiles on there face. While waiting for my order the Manager Amanda was is there snapping orders,telling them everything that is wrong with the shop,and basically downing them right infront of me. I don't think she even said welcome to me as I walked in.Just stared at me like I was green and from another planet. But the other girls did. The manager could not stop running her long list of all her own shop failures on the other two. What an unprofessional person. Not sure how she is even considered a MANAGER. A manager girl is a team player and doesn't act like BOSS! NOONE LIKE BOSSY. They lose respect. You are going to lose your help. Oh wait...I think that may be your plan,because a couple weeks ago three other girls you wrote up. One poor girls family is going through some tough times. Maybe if you had a heart and gave her,her ten minutes for a break you wouldn't need to right her up. I hope you realize what amazing girls you have working for you. I was passing through and looking for coffee. I always prefer supporting the local coffee shop so ended up here. Unfortunately this seems to be a sugary coffee drink shop, not a coffee shop. I decided on nitro cold brew since I didn’t want a sugary flavored drink. Well something is wrong with their nitro setup as there was no nitro in their nitro. No silky cascading bubbles or any head whatsoever. And they put ice in the cup which you never do with nitro. I figured I’d try it anyway, but had to give it back and ask them to toss it. Something was very off with the taste of the nitro. It wasn’t just lacking the foam, something was wrong. I asked for regular cold brew instead, and they obliged, and while it was passable, it was some of the worst cold brew I’ve had, and I drink a fair amount of cold brew. Overall this isn’t my kind of coffee shop, but if you’re going to have a whole separate kegerator of both flat and nitro cold brew, it should taste a lot better than it did today. I love my coffee. And since my fiancé lives on the Cape, this is one of the first places he made me try. Boy was I glad he did! The Twix iced coffee is by far my favorite (well... the only flavor I've tried!). I've tried this flavor at several of their locations and it is consistently good!!!

Listen to what other reviewers say, make sure you get skim milk, no sugar and if you want whipped cream, just get a little bit (or else you'll be on sugar overload!).

After me bragging about it, I made my parents try it on their visit there. They were disappointed with the regular brew of coffee and were disappointed by the lack of variety of treats to go with the coffee.

All I know is that every time I go to the Cape I go out of my way to get a treat coffee from here. And that's what I view it as, a dessert coffee. If I lived close by and drank this every day I would be in big trouble!!
