Unorganized not staffed well...
Update: Today I tried one more time at this store. I was excited about this store because it's close to my house and I joined your scan it and go rewards. I don't understand how one store has SO MUCH uncaring and unqualified staff. Once again I went in scanned my card and it didn't work. So again I had to go to your customer service desk. Now I understand things happen and going to your customer service desk shouldn't be a big deal normally..but at this store it's a nightmare..I got to customer service..they were not busy. Only one customer being helped and then I was to be next. There were 4 women STAFF behind the counter.. Not 1 of them could help me. Not one of them wanted to help me...that was very obvious..The first staff was doing a western union. The other 3 women were laughing joking and just hanging out. The first staff said I only have one computer open it will be just a minute..(ok no problem is what I would normally think. But not at this Stop and Shop I've been through this nightmare before)so as I thought 15 mins goes by the staff doing western union has been done yet no one could help me? In fact I was completely ignored!. I don't complain people who know me know this. I was actually a frozen food manager at Shaw's for a long time so I know to be patient. It's amazing to me how the staff here have lasted this...
Read moreStop & shop as a company is bad. The prices are insane!. I don't know how anyone could afford to buy anything there. I only go there to pick up if I need like a packet of meatloaf mix or buttermilk or some random item I never do grocery shopping there. But I did purchase some stuff the other day buttermilk cornbread honey and two frozen packages of chicken liver. When I was scanning them it stopped because I took the liver out of the meat bag it comes in to keep the juices in so I could scan them and then I put the bag to put them back into so they don't leak everywhere into the bagging area and the machine shut down and just kept showing a repeat of me putting the bag in the bagging area like I'm trying to steal the free meat bag. Anyway two clerks came over One said it was fine and just scanned her card but some other part-time clerk decided that wasn't good enough that they had to cancel my whole order and I had to do it all over again. Not that it was a big order and you could clearly see everything was scanned but to just make me redo it because of the plastic bags you provide was put in the bagging area to put the leaky livers in. Embarrassing and I don't being like accused of stealing. Totally ridiculous compounded with the prices in the unhelpful workers I don't see how that place is even still in business. BJ's for the win and whatever small stuff...
Read moreThe store has had a constant smell, a foul odor that hits you like a wave the moment you enter. My kids smell it and we all jokingly started callit it the "poop store." But its not funny anyomore. Employees and shoppers just walking around as though nothing’s wrong! This has been going on for so long now that it cannot be just some rare occurrence. Several months ago, I asked someone at the customer service station if they noticed the store’s smell and they looked at me like I had three heads just or asking. You do get accustomed to it after shopping for 10 minutes or so - but who wants to be used to THAT? Last summenr we stopped buying meat, produceor anything that could be exposed to store employees or open air - sticking strictly to packaged goods, but yesterday it was so bad we decided we are no longer comfortable with anything out of this location. It’s just that bad. My wife and I cut short our shopping and left. We're not going back. When I say this store stinks, I mean that quite literally. Our family has decided to shop solely at Trader Joes and Whole Foods instead. Something is very...
