Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Barrington Township

Was there earlier today. The place is fine, the employees are nice enough, but they do not pay much attention at all to orders placed through the app. The Einstein bagel app is absolutely terrible and worthless. The only thing the app is good for getting the reward points and redeeming at the store. I have placed orders thru the app on a couple of occasions and they've screwed it up each time. Today, my bagels were not sliced even though I called the store after placing the order to make sure of this, and still not done. The app indicated I have a $5 off coupon, which I applied to my order, but when I went to pick up the order, it was not taken off. Horrific customer service. Not just once, but many times over many years. Unfortunately they are the nearest Einsteins and by default we use them out of convenience. However, they routinely exhibit poor customer service skills. Barrington needs a new bagel shop with employees that care about the quality of service they provide to their customers. This locations has ZERO systems in place to manage efficiently or they fail to adhere to the systems they do have. Ironically the management here has not changed in a long time. We’ve tried ordering from this place 6 times, and we have yet to get a correct order. My fiancée is allergic to sesame seeds, which is why she ordered a plain bagel sandwich, but instead got the everything bagel, which she now has to throw out. An order of a few extra plain bagels for breakfast tomorrow was also a mix of the most random bagels they could pick. Once again, ones that we did not order, or ones that contained ingredients we purposefully avoided, for allergy reasons. Honestly how do you screw up 2 plain bagels?
