Shirley's Piano Bar — Restaurant in Barrington

I was really looking forward to this, but it was a truly disappointing experience!! We arrived early and it wasn't terribly crowded but when my boyfriend went to get our drinks neither of the bartenders even acknowledged him. He waited politely for 10 minutes while one bartender was engrossed in his phone and the other chatted with friends.. not even a smile or hello! We decided to go elsewhere where our business was appreciated. Clearly the owner could care less either.. Would be five stars if it weren't for the migraine inducing sound level. The atmosphere is very nice, finger food pizza is excellent. Ron, our waiter, was the bomb. The drinks, although pricey, were good. The entertainer was good. What we can do without is amplified piano and vocals to rock concert levels (82 decibels to be ridiculously accurate). We had a wonderful time at Shirley's. Far better than the other businesses that have been here recently, it offers great drinks and a truly memorable experience.

The pianists are immensely talented, taking shifts typically 7-10 and 10-2 on weekend nights. They take requests and encourage singing along. Really fun and positive vibe.
