La Tapatía Taqueria — Restaurant in Bastrop

I came sometime last month & had the quesabirria tacos & jamaica agua fresca, and my stomach & heart was full. 1) because it was a new place to me, 2)it felt peaceful watching the traffic go by while I ate, 3)La Señora was so kind & made me feel welcomed like I was family. This morning I got to try the barbacoa taco, menudo, & limonada agua fresca, and my stomach & heart is full again. The menudo IS the best I've had in the area (& I've tried a lot of places). It's filled with flavor & lots of hominy & really didn't need the cilantro or limón, but that's a habit for me. The barbacoa taco wasn't dripping with grease & I didn't feel awful or stomach pains after eating it, like I often do at other places. And the limonada was FRESH! It had the right amount of sweet & tart flavor that paired well with my meal. I can't wait to come back & try something else from the menu, because I'm more than sure that it WILL NOT...

Absolutely amazing!! This food truck is hands down the BEST in Bastrop! The food is authentic, full of true flavors, and made with so much love. Every bite tastes homemade and fresh. If you are looking to experience authentic Guadalajara food come to this place, the best tortas ahogadas that I have eaten, and if you know tradition from Guadalajara and you can eat it a Torta Ahogada in a bag this is the place. Highly Recommended the service is excellent and the place is super clean, and if you have your kids ask for pancakes they will treat your kids like royalty.
