Okay y'all, i have been coming here ever since i started earning money. I'm shocked that i hadn't written a review before. The dine-in experience is flawless every time. I have come in at opening, midday, afternoon, and closing. The consistency is mind blowing. Whether you're getting takeout or munching on the buffet, you won't find a better restaurant to eat at in Batesville. Chili's ain't got nothing on new china. KC steakhouse who? I have gone here, gotten takeout, eaten at the buffet, and used the dang claw machines outside. This place is magical, and the workers are happy.
The prices are CRIMINALLY LOW. The prices don't reflect the quality, because the quality is actually God tier. You can get POUNDS worth of fried rice w/chicken and veggies for $9.25!! IT FEEDS 4.
Do yourself a favor if you're passing through Batesville to get to 🤢Memphis🤢, and get some takeout from new china. Maybe sit down in the afternoon, order a diet coke and try the stuffed mushrooms.
I've lived in Batesville my whole life, and nothing has ever come close to New China quality y'all. I don't care if it comes off a Sysco truck, these people put their entire soul...
Read moreNo, no, no. If I was that person and not starving, I'd have just told them I wasn't staying after one look around the buffet. Small selection. There was enough that was edible so we stayed but I was so disappointed. The sushi didn't look good at all and there was a fly. Veins in the stuffed shrimp and peel and eat. Stuff was old and greasy or dry. Sweet and sour chicken was literally inedible, so tough and gross even for my 8 year old who will eat anything. Ice cream looked like it had been in there for months. No way we were touching it. Atmosphere was dingy and dirty. Either the water wasn't clear or the cups were dingy. Just absolutely would not recommend. Service was good, she was friendly, but I don't really have much else good to say. Just hoping not...
Read moreAs for service, the staff was great! Very friendly and got to us nearly right away. As for atmosphere, its not the best buffet ever. Its kind of small and cramped with the tables and booths a bit too close together for comfort and the booths were ripped (the fabric i mean) and I really dont like touching ripped things but thatd just a personal ick. As for the food, it could have been better. It could just be the time i went but the food was lukewarm-- cold in some cases-- and the taste was okay but nothing I'd make a special trip for. They did have a good enough variety-- i saw seafood, rice and the "usual" chinese foods, and fruit and deserts. Overall, I enjoyed myself there but I wouldnt...
