I usually like this subway and take my kids there often when I shop at that Meijer. Unfortunately, Alice waited on me today.
She was clearly frustrated when I got there. Everything she touched or moved was with great force and heavy sighs.
I ordered a 12 inch and asked her to split the sandwich so my hot peppers didn't get on my kids half. With an eye roll and a heavy sigh she cut the sandwich in half, but it was still touching. She missed the point of splitting up the sandwiches so I asked her to wrap their sandwich separately before doing mine. She quickly crumpled the sandwich up in paper with another eye roll and heavy sigh. Tossed the sandwich in the bag and gave me a good hard stare.
I ordered Mayo on my sandwich and she gobbed it on, I imagine out of spite. I asked her to take some of the Mayo off. With her angry stare she loudly asked "How am I supposed to do that?!?" I suggested using the knife she just used to cut the sandwich and again loudly she said "That's already in the sink!" And before I could suggest getting a new knife she was using a napkin to wipe the mayo (and some tuna) off the sandwich. I said "you're wiping tuna off" and condescendingly she said "Noooo, it's just Mayo!"
I ordered 2 white milks for my kids. Paid for them and then discovered there was no white milk in the cooler. I asked if there was any in the back and with a shrug she unapologetically said "You're just going to have to wait until the delivery guy brings the shipment in because I don't have anything back there."
After that, my kids and I were sitting in a booth when I heard her talking to a Meijer employee about her frustrating day, having to work late, dealing with the delivery and she was using the "F" word repeatedly in the process.
Other than Alice I like this subway. But I sure don't want to eat there again if...
Read moreThis subway is a disgrace. I literally have went multiple times and the worker Alice is straight up rude. She snaps at customers and has a very agressive tone with them too. I shouldn’t have came back, but since I was in Meijer shopping at the time and starving I thought I would give it another try. She never gives you the amount of meat that you are suppose to get and she touches the food after touching money without washing her hands (big no no for the health inspection). The few times I have went in to this location they have been unpleasant and she rudely throws the toppings and doesn’t care about her work. The few times (regretable) when I sat to eat at the location I heard her complaining about the owners and other co workers and how she hated being there. I have seen similar reviews from other patrons but why is nothing being done is my question. Maybe someone should be reporting these to subway corporate office because they obliviously do not read these reviews. If I was a head of company and saw these reviews I’d be making some big changes. Eventually that store will close that’s almost a guarantee if you allow these behaviors to continue. It’s evident to me that this location could care less about their patrons and all they are after is the money. Very sad. I will not be coming back. The one worker who was there was talking on the phone to someone through her apple airpods while talking my order, so I had to repeat myself several times. They don't have all the usual toppings here, and she really skimped on them - my sandwich had about 3 leaves of spinach on it, and she didn't warm the chicken before making my husband's chicken teriyaki.
