One of the best additions to Bath in a while. New to town and entering a rather competitive environment, with regards to pizza, in town.
Competition be damned, Byron’s wasn’t afraid to compete and it’s obvious why.
As it’s much more than just a pizza shop. It reminds me of when growing up and we all had that friend whose family was always hanging out in the kitchen, making something that smelled delicious and had you salivating.
As if mouth watering food wasn’t enough, they are friendly, prompt and gracious. Customer service or just plain, old fashion courtesy are no longer as common as it once was.
At Byron’s I felt like they were genuinely happy to see me and eager to take my order which was endearing as I could see they were very busy. I felt at ease and it’s apparent others whom were waiting did too. As an easy conversation broke out amongst those awaiting their order.
Now Byron’s isn’t the cheapest around, and it’s immediately evident why, you more than get your moneys worth, as they don’t skimp on the quantity or quality.
When you combine the atmosphere, absolutely delicious food with healthy portions and at a fair price I can’t help but give Byron’s 5 stars. I’m extremely thankful that we’re able to welcome them to the community.
— I want to be clear that the proceeding is completely my own observation and opinion and in no way associated with Byron’s.
So on a side note and no fault of Byron’s but one I can only imagine would be frustrating for any new business, was something I found quite troubling and utterly disturbing.
Although on street parking is limited in the immediate area, there is a large parking lot directly across the street which is for borough hall. This lot has meter parking and is 0.25¢ for 15 mins. Fair enough.
My concern and one that had me quite disgusted was after I parked and fed my meter I saw a code enforcement officer come out of borough hall and head towards where I had parked. After I crossed the street I looked back and saw him lingering by the meter of the car next to me.
Roughly a minute or 2 after I entered an elderly woman whom was eating with her husband got up and angrily walked out the door. Shortly returning she expressively stated she was being ticketed and that he stood and waited for her meter to expire. There was 7-8 cars in the lot but he had walked past others and went straight only to her car before he headed right back inside.
Not only did this seem completely unnecessary and predatory in nature but left me with the feeling as I imagine one has while living in a police state.
I understand it’s an ordnance and it’s intended purpose but in a half empty lot, which was paid for in part by the same people whom were targeted for a ticket, seems unjust and frankly, disgusting.
If he had been making rounds, you could chalk this up to bad luck. But to head directly to one vehicle and leave makes me question who as a borough we have representing us, that such tactics are acceptable.
This could’ve been a overzealous codes officer (although it’s not the first time I’ve seen them waiting for a meter to expire), a borough pushing for strict unforgiving compliance (constant complaints from locals hasn’t changed this behavior) but I’m absolutely certain it couldn’t have anything to do with a public official owning one of the competing pizza shops. Because targeting specific patrons might seem like an abuse of power, but heck that’s only a crazy theory from a man whom just enjoyed a delectable meal.
—Byron’s does provide a quarter to any customer whom parks in the borough lot, so don’t let that stop you from missing out on what’s sure to be one of...
Read moreI just stopped by this place for a couple of slices, and they were great. I hate when you stop at a pizza joint and they barely have any pies on display if u just want a slice. These guys had plenty of options, not to mention the place is clean and cozy and everyone was really nice. It's funny to me when u see a place with all good reviews, but then u got some fool like 'cody' the clown (posted a bad review here) talking trash on this place cause he has OCD and wants establishments to be operated by robots without personalities... or so it seemed.. The boy didn't even mention nothin about the food, he just kinda "bit#$ing cause he board" type thing lol. But yea, I would absolutely come back,...
