We had breakfast, and it wasn't as good as the previous owners. I'm not saying it was bad, just lacking the feel of diner food. The pancakes were tasteless, though cooked well. The ham was very low quality, but cooked nice. The eggs were perfectly cooked, but again boring. The home fries were cooked perfectly, but cold and bland. The toast was properly toasted, but obviously pre-made and kept in a humid warmer. I personally like when toast is like that, but my wife hated it. The scrapple was cooked on too high of temperature, and was the worst scrapple I've ever had. It tasted more like mush. I don't who supplied, but I'd imagine they think scrapple and the southern food that's similar is the same thing, and it's not. The coffee was coffee, and the orange juice was the bagged stuff you get at McDonald's. Oh, and if you pay with a card, their service charges a surcharge. All in all, it was pedestrian. Like a McDonald's breakfast. I suspect the meticulously clean the grill all the time, killing the seasoning that you want on a flat top. Then, to increase the speed, they must have everything on a line, because there's no way our order could have been freshly cooked in under five minutes. Which, is why it was bland, and why the dining room was virtually empty on a beautiful Saturday morning. We're not...
Read moreWhen my husband passed unexpectedly, many arrangements needed to be made. One of which was a Celebration of Life Luncheon following the ceremony. I only had a few days to organize where 35 people would have lunch..that could fit us comfortably and accommodate me financially. A friend had recommended Turn In Family Restaurant. Unsure of what to expect, I called. I spoke with Tony, who was amazing! He took the time to listen to me and together we were able to agree on a lovely luncheon with choice of two meats, two sides, soup or salad and, yes, even dessert. He was able to section off a large part of the restaurant for privacy and created a meal custom to our needs. The food was fresh and delicious. The service was friendly and speedy. Everyone was compassionate during this difficult time and I even got a hug. I would HIGHLY recommend the “family oriented” Turn In Family Restaurant for functions or just a regular stomping ground. Job well done. Thank you so much for helping to alleviate one of the many stressors and sadness associated with the Celebration of Life of my forever friend and...
Read moreThey got mini meals for $8.99. Plus i got aside and dessert with it. The portions you get are quite filling. Last time I went I got top sirloin which is more like roast beef. It was good and filling. My last visit I got the mini chop steak meal. My advice is to get the mini menu it's right in the middle of the menu. if you would get a regular portion you're more than likely going to be leaving with a to go bag. My desert I had rice pudding and they put stuff on that that I never had rice pudding with like cinnamon slightly Dash into the rice pudding itself and whipped cream on top those two things just make it outrageously delicious! The service was fast and quick the waitress was a tentative and never missed a beat when we had empty glasses. That's a major Plus for me since I drink a lot of water! I have been there in the past and it was okay but now it's Under New Management and I find disservice and the food to be better than what...
