Just drove from Goodman, Missouri to this restaurant in Baxter Springs, Kansas for our Valentine meal out. Having been here four times already and the food was excellent each and everytime, we knew it would be a good choice, but today we were touched and happy to see that these folks had decorated the restaurant in hearts, flowers, and balloons..they had dimmed the lights to give a romantic air to seating area, had a fajita for two special for only $18.99, and after we had eaten, we received a free raspberry dessert and a strawberry one too. Perfect finish to an about par meal in a romantic setting with music playing loud enough to be heard but not to interfere with the table conversation. We had a lovely holiday meal and felt extra taken care of. So often nowadays you forget just how important the little things are. Small town comfort, best friend attitude/service, fair pricing, margaritas with many, many flavors that are to die for, and the quality of their food is untouchable by competitors! Edwin, a staff member here is the most lively, upbeat, cheerful, kind and caring people I've ever met. My heart would break if I never got to see him again. He treats you like family.
