Patrons here were great and helped advise on what they liked, and help translate for the waitress. The owner Lenor (?) came over and was very kind. Would have been a 5 star but the meat was clearly past its prime, and the “gringo” written on the check makes me wonder if that’s why I got the bad meat. I’ve gotten many laughs from sharing the image of the receipt with friends, but just imagine if a “white” person had put something derogatory on the bottom of the receipt of a Hispanic, or worse yet, a black person? The young girl was excellent who served us. We waited a little over an hour for our food. Our entire tables main entrees were cold. Rice and beans were hot. My food had great taste and flavor just cold. The server was a 5, the atmosphere was a 5, the service was a 2, the food was a 2. I'm hopeful it was a bad night for the cook. Excellent service and very friendly. Appears family run. Focused on local patrons but still super friendly and accommodating with English speaking tourists. Food was great, prepared perfectly.

Bar was lively and live music was energetic, but there was no problem bringing a 12 year old in to the tables...
