We recently moved to lovely Bayfield and love to try out new places. Before going to any restaurant, I always read reviews. BSB has several mixed reviews some good and some very bad but because it's right in my new town ,I just have to give it a shot. We went on a Saturday at around 5pm and the place was packed which is alway a good sign. Very simple , cute place inside. We decided to sit at the bar and had the nicest bartender named Jeffrey. Attended us right away. Bar was full and we got lucky with 2 bar stools available. They have a nice selection of beer listed on the wall. We did a.flighg of about 6 different beers each taste was $1.75 and that was perfect to be able to try different selections. Beer was nice and cold. We also ordered the fish and chips that comes with fries and slaw it was absolutely delicious 😋. We saved room for dessert and Jeffrey suggested their homemade mixed berry 🥧 pie with a scoop of vanilla and OMG that was a super delicious pie. I give this place 5 stars. We had a great 1st time visit. There are so many more food selections that we'd love to try so we will Def come back. I recommend this...
Read moreGood food, decent beer, nice atmosphere. I'd go again based on my first experience.
Started with an oatmeal stout that was pretty good, my beautiful wife had a moscow mule that tasted like they let me pour it myself, I mean this in a good way like it was a heavy pour. We had the hot pretzel appetizer, it comes with some pretty tasty beer cheese dippy stuff.
I had a green chile cheese burger with waffle fries, chile wasn't hat at all but I was happy to see it as an option in Colorado, the sweet potato fries were waffle cut and had some sort of cheesy salty crumble on top. My amazing wife had a regular cheeseburger with bleu cheese and mac 'n cheese on the side, it was a lot of bleu, like I couldn't have handled it but she took it like a champ, the mac was good like I wish it was a bigger portion than a ramekin.
Staff was very friendly and very competent, no mishaps or any funny business. I can't think of anything I'd say, "You could do better..." So I'd definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone looking for a good burger and a pint. I'd like to try their french dip or reuben my next...
Read moreUnbelievable. We got there around 5:30/6 pm. There was 1 person sitting at the outside patio bar, and 2 other groups on the patio. At least 4 tables empty. Inside, there were 2 people at the bar and 3 tables occupied. All the other tables were empty. The hostess told me the wait would be an hour. When I asked why she said they were short staffed and we could sit, but wouldn't be served for at least 45 minutes. When I pointed out that the place was empty, she then said that they just went through shift change (not sure why that's a reason to not serve people). When I turned to leave, my husband asked her why, and she then said that there were multiple reservations ahead of us (she pointed to a list of 5 names). We went down the street, had a great meal, then drove past the brewery at 7 pm just out of curiosity. EMPTY. I hope the owners know how mismanaged that place is. The sad thing is, they have great food. We took our friends there to share it with them. So sad. We just moved here. We'll never go...
