Worst restaurant and service ever...worst mexican food ever.....On Friday January 12, 2017 around 2 p.m. in Bayfield, CO. When we first walked in there was no one around for about 3 minutes, looked abandoned. By the time someone finally came out from the back and seated us, a family of 4 came in also. We were seated within close proximity to the family. Well, when the waiter finally came over, he took our drink orders and theirs. Came back with those and took our order and theirs. They got their drinks first and food. We ordered taco plates that the meat came out burnt that I couldn't eat; the refried beans are not refried beans and no where on the menu does it say that they are beans with cumin and jalapenos; the rice was not typical rice, it had mixed vegetables and cactus or bell peppers (which I'm allergic to) and it did not state that either. When the waiter came by and asked how things were and I told him what was in the beans he couldn't tell me so he went back to the kitchen and took forever to come back and clearly avoiding coming to say anything to me because he was at the another table clearing it. I asked what was in the rice and he said it was a green bean, which it wasn't. By then, I had lost my appetite. I asked to see a manager or someone in charge and he promptly stated "they are all on break", like it was a rehearsed or usual response. I asked to have my meal comp'd or given to me at half price since I had eaten only one of the burnt tacos and only tasted the rice and beans, but he said he couldn't do that. I asked why and he said that one of the managers had to and they were on break. I was shocked. He didn't even try to go see if there was anyone that could help out. I will never go back and don't recommend anyone going there! Bad food and...
Read moreI have eaten at Tequilas in several area towns many times over the years. I ordered the same shrimp dish I usually order but it was over-cooked and dry. The service was okay, but I had to request some items more than once. The wait staff and managers sang “happy birthday” to patrons at least four times which was fine but one woman had a snare drum that she beat so loudly each time that the entire restaurant had to plug their ears. When I complained after the fourth time, I was told that they “couldn’t do anything about it”. My smart watch registers high decibels and told me that the sound level was high enough to cause permanent damage...
Read moreWe go here frequently as it is one of few choices in town, my kids like it, and it's typically a sure bet all around. We ate there tonight and ordered 2 kids meals and a shrimp dish for my boyfriend and I to split. They charged us for a regular enchilada instead of a kids one. After pointing it out they changed it, but as we were leaving they accused us of ordering a kids meal for one of us adults, ultimately left us feeling really icky and disappointed. Not to mention, the shrimp dish was below their normal caliber. Maybe it was an off night, but nonetheless we will not return...
