Great value, service, and taste.
Bake n' Brew is a place I've passed through and ignored. It's easy to miss this hidden gem. I wouldn't say Bayonne is the place to go for food, but small cozy places like these make you rethink that sentiment. The service was great, the young lady taking our order was courteous, helpful and a pleasure to speak with. She gave us plenty of suggestions and helped us navigate the menu. She was very receptive when changing our order from carry out to dine in which was much appreciated. Overall she was extremely attentive.
The omlettes we ordered were were great for the price! 10 bucks for an omelet was perfect for what you get. You won't have a grossly overweight dish, the portions were perfect. The Cuban omelette was a nice variation which complimented well with the ingredients. Food was brought out in a timely fashion and were attended to promptly. The one are where it can be improved would be the iced latte. It won't be the best you've had but it'll do the job. The latte was made just fine I believe what may have been. Lacking were the beans used. Not sure what beans are coming to the party but don't expect to be blown away.
Overall this is a hidden gem and a must try. It's a cozy design, although definitely not for groups more than 4 for dining in, but then again its not a restaurant, it's a Café. We will definitely be returning.
P.S the quiche looks amazing however their limited to the weekends. Will be returning to...
Read moreBEWARE OF FOOD POISONING & LYING STAFF. I recently visited this DUMP for breakfast. I ordered the Chorizo N' Eggs Quesadilla. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The dish had an off taste that suggested it was not fresh; it was so pronounced that I could only take one bite before requesting it to be returned. Despite this, the restaurant refused a refund, offering instead a return visit on another day.
Most concerning, however, was my reaction to the food following the meal. Within hours, I developed muscle aches and a fever, symptoms consistent with food poisoning. I filed a report about the incident to the local health department for investigation, to prevent potential harm to other patrons.
When I attempted to address my concerns, both in-person and over the phone, I encountered significant communication barriers. The staff indicated they had limited English understanding; however, the same staff members were fluent the day of my initial visit.
What an absolute DUMP. I wouldn't recommend anyone to come back to this place. I hope that my prayers get answered and this place goes out...
Read moreI used to frequent this shop decently a few years back. I came here to grab some coffee and a quick breakfast. I ordered a handful of muffins, a blueberry scone, a pistachio croissant, coffee and a quesadilla.
First off, making me wait almost 15 minutes to “heat up” my croissant seems excessive. I’ll let it slide. It was busy, the shop was packed and it was the Sunday morning following Ramadan.
Second, most of the food was dry. Scone, muffins and croissant were all dry. Horrendously dry at that. It was as if they had been sitting on the counter for days.
Third, my pistachio croissant that I paid almost $5 was not a pistachio croissant. It was an almond croissant. I know mistakes happen and people overlook things, but what if I had a food allergy?
This business has gone so far downhill in comparison to previous visits over the years. Is this place under new management? New ownership? It really shows with the low quality food and service. Incredibly disappointing. Low quality food, overpriced and not flavorful or...
