*The Tale of the Chicken Parmigiana Sicilian Pie and the Horrible Reality of Deliveries...* Now I've eaten a lot of different pizzas at Mona Lisa, but I never knew this existed until my friend told me about it. I recommend this. Fresh and so good, it was devoured upon arrival. Great being back in Jersey after seven years. On the bad side, if you're a delivery driver, don't pick up from here. They make you wait in line when they should have a separate line for drivers. Also, they force you to have a bag… Now I've delivered all across the USA, and never once have I been required to have a bag… Want extra support? Give bags to your drivers. You make plenty of money… LA doesn't even require a bag, and their pizza can't compare to yours. Moral of the story: To the owner, get your restaurant organized or lose delivery business.

I have had mona lisa’s pizza for many years and in recent years when I go back to NJ to visit and have had their food the quality has declined. I ordered a chicken parm, not only did it take forever to get but when i received it it was excessively burnt on one side of the sandwich. I always order extra sauce on my parms but this did not have that either, the sandwich was quite DRY… I didnt complain being that i was hungry and they took a very long time just to make a sandwich. The prices are just crazy too i paid $51 for a sandwich, 2 slices (which were extra thin and dry), 2 canolis, 3 sodas and a pepperoni roll…..Im not sure I will make Mona’s my go to anymore when im back in NJ. Honestly it isnt worth it, better places in the area.

lousy service, I ordered pizza with soda, the pizza arrived and the soda didn't, they didn't have pepsi there, that was their response, I called and they would bring me peppsi in a moment but I've been waiting half an hour and nothing has arrived and it has arrived the time the restaurant closes and I call again and the driver is on his way, in total I have to eat without soda, all this because they want to leave the restaurant quickly, bad service I do not recommend it.

First I want to preface this by saying I absolutely never ever post a review when I don’t have anything nice to say. I’d rather not contribute my business and just move along. This experience I feel is necessary to write about. So we decided to order pizza from a place where we’d eaten before, but wasn’t a usual, and contribute to local business during our crisis. We ordered a pan pizza and a sampler as a combination with a cannoli dip and a 2 liter of soda. It was a special they were promoting. The total was $33 including delivery. First, the delivery took nearly 90 minutes to show up after giving 45 minutes to an hour window. That’s understandable; Saturday night and during the crisis I get it. The delivery man shows up, I pay him, he leaves and forgets our soda. He brings the soda back and we realize we didn’t get the cannoli. The driver did not have the cannoli and said they might not have it in stock. We called in to ask about our cannoli and were told they would get it out to us before they close at 10. It was 6:45 when we got our meal. We decided to forgo the dessert and asked for a refund and were told we would receive our refund. When we sat down to eat the pizza was stale and too overcooked. I literally tasted cardboard when I bit into it. The chicken tenders were rubbery as were the mozzarella sticks. The food was not very good. I figured ok maybe it was a bad night I’ll stick to my usual pizza places from then on out. Today I noticed I still had not been reimbursed for the Cannoli... we call and speak to a manager who tells us they do not do reimbursements but they will give us store credit. I explained the mistake was their mistake and how I do not want store credit because I had not planned to eat there again. She explained she couldn’t do that. I then told her she could keep the 7 bucks for the cannoli and how she lost my business for good. The thing that irritated me the most was how I was told I would get reimbursed in the first place. Definitely not my mistake and I should not have had to pay for a cannoli I never received. That’s terrible business and robbery...

I was torn between one star or two. I've been to the dining area before and found the dishes to be at least satisfactory not last Saturday night! For starters my wife tried to order a Appleton and was told it could not be made, so I didn't even want to try asking for a Manhattan, they need a professional bartender and a well stocked bar. Rolls were brought to the table a bit over room temperature, this matched with hard butter made for a challange. Is it that hard to warm rolls? We ordered the hot antipasto, where do I not start. The baked clams were very small, the shrimp oreganata, the shrimp were fine, how do I describe the oreganata other than to say it was hard had little taste other than breadcrumbs, the stuffed mushrooms and the eggplant were the best of the "least". I order Shrimp Scampi over angel hair pasta. What I was served was shrimp over angel hair pasta in a watered down quasi-butter sauce, No Garlic there was no garlic, none, zero. I hunted for the garlic. I could not find it, as a garnish there were 3 small leaves of parsley. I questioned the server about the lack of garlic, his answer was something to the effect that people don't like too much garlic, I get it but there was none. What is the point to Scampi if not garlic? Was the chef having a bad night or rushed and forget to add the garlic? The service I give a pass for now for he seemed young and inexperienced and we all have to start sometime and we learn from experience. In defense he was working the room by himself, as the garden area was hosting an event. It will be a long while before we return if ever, there just too many good...

I have repeatedly asked my son not to order food here. Whenever I get delivery, it seems that I get whatever it is that they decide to send me. We've already paid for the food, added the tip and now are at their mercy. I've gotten cold food, leftover food, and worst of all, pizza that had been heated in the microwave. It was delivered with ROCK HARD crust. When you eat in, there are also times that the food isn't up to par. But at least you can call it to the attention of the staff and get a replacement or make sure that you get what you ordered. My son specifically ordered THIN CRUST PIZZA. THIS IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THIN CRUST PIZZA!!!! Its regular crust. Not even cooked on the outside. It has no color. Inside the edges of the crust is wet dough. Once again I got whatever they decided they wanted to send instead of what I ordered. I finally gave them another chance to do the right thing this time and it didn't happen. NEVER EVER AGAIN! I have tons of options. My son doesn't eat their pizza AT ALL. He ordered other stuff. I decided that I would settle for a 12-inch THIN CRUST Pizza as I know the regular crust is always under done. I feel so upset as I'm certain is obvious in this review. If I had been there in person, I would have sent whatever this is SUPPOSED to be back! So disrespectful! I feel like I've been...
