This is a very nice park. It's not crowded. I walked my dog there 2 or 3 times day all through the covid crisis. It was a wonderful escape. It is very well maintained. There is a large flock of geese there and the municipal employees, somehow, keep the walkways clear of geese poop.
Their is a project to upgrade the park, so about a third of it is unavailable, but they are remediating chromium, which was spread all over hudson county as fill. I applaud it's remediation and thank the mayor for thinking of the health of our kids.
There is a very small water park; a fishing dock, but don't eat the fish the Hackensack is contaminated with dioxin, a baci ball court; bathrooms; ball field; volley ball; 2 playgrounds; 2 parking lots; an exercise course; benches, and some picnic tables. They did allot, in a small space.
I ride my bike there too. The view of the bridge at night is beautiful and is a photo opportunity. I've never had a problem with the the wide variety of people who use this park and I feel safe there.
I want to thank the city for keeping it up so well. I think it is better kept up, nicer, and less crowded than...

There is a beach volleyball area. The entire park sits along water and has a fantastic View. There is a playground for toddlers as well as older children even in area for teens. There are clean restrooms. There is work out equipment that is available whenever the Park is open and free and comprable to what you would find enter professional gym. There is a doggie park that is very generous in space. There is parking and plenty of seating in every area as long as picnic tables. This park is also great for taking walks and jogging. There are often small events such as live music that occur here as well. The park is usually clean and one of the last places you find children actually playing and not on video devices. I recommend this park for a family gathering or just the...

July 2022 update - Park is still under reconstruction so you are still unable to walk through the entire park. Whenever they finally finish there will be a giant playground for children though. I am hoping the walking path will be smoother too once finished. It was uneven in spots so if not careful one could easily turn an ankle. Looking forward to whenever...
