Wonder Bagel Review – Mixed Experience (July 2nd & 3rd)

I’ve had some inconsistent experiences at Wonder Bagel over the past two days.

On July 2nd, I ordered a smoothie (mango, pineapple, banana, apple, and spinach). When I tasted it, I realized someone had added peanut butter—which I never asked for. I politely returned it and even wrote the order down to avoid confusion. The second time around, they added ginger instead. At that point, I asked for a refund.

Another young lady stepped in and kindly asked if she could make the smoothie for me. Although I was ready to just leave and get to work, she insisted—and I’m glad she did. She made it perfectly. If you want it done right, ask for Nada. She’s the real MVP.

On July 3rd, I ordered the pancake platter with scrambled eggs and bacon for pickup. Unfortunately, this meal was also a disappointment. The pancakes had a sour taste, almost like they were made with apple juice. The eggs and bacon had a strange taste as well—almost like lighter fluid. I couldn’t even finish the meal.

I really wanted to enjoy my experience here, but back-to-back issues are hard to overlook. I appreciate Nada’s effort and customer service, but the quality control needs some...

I like wonder bagel, but at this particular location, I don't always enjoy what I order. I usually get the morning zing juice from any wonder bagel which is just carrot apple and ginger. At this location, it's hit or miss...usually a miss. When it is a miss it's because they put entirely TOO MUCH GINGER! I placed my order over the phone and told them "light on the ginger." When I drank it couldn't even take more than 2 sips. It was way too much. I need them to figure this out because it's only at this wonder bagel that they seem to be breaking off 4-5inch chunks of ginger for one juice. I have also heard others in the past order juice from them and tell them to lighten up on the ginger.

Also on this particular order, I ordered 2 bacon egg and cheddar sandwiches for family. They don't like American cheese. The sandwiches both had American cheese instead of cheddar. Couldn't reorder because we had to get on the road.

Food quality always fresh, BUT the wait is too long and they don't follow directions. They are so inconsistent with how they do things. Sometimes my egg salad is wrapped in paper, other times it's in a plastic tray soaking in pickle juice. Not a genius idea. Since the tray is plastic, the juice from the pickles just slide all over the tray, soaking the sandwich and essentially tainting the taste of the sandwich. Today I ordered to cold sandwiches- nothing but turkey, salami, Swiss and American... no condiments, no lettuce. Nothing.. Just meat and cheese. I CALLED AHEAD and when I got there I still waited for 10 minutes only to have my sandwiches passed to me with pickles in a plastic tray leaking on my food. I immediately let the worker know that I said NO PICKLES. ANNOYED. I get to work, no Swiss...
