Kains Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Bayou La Batre

I met some friends for dinner. They got there before me and had already ordered. When I got there it took some time for someone to take my drink order. They had two rows of tables set up for what looked like a large party that had not yet arrived. When they brought my friends food out they did not bring utensils for them to eat their food nor did they attempt to take my food order. Once the larger party arrived we had to flag down the waitress so that I could order my food. She was not yet taking anyone's order from the large party she was just standing there. I ordered a drink from the bar and my food, that is when she notice my friends did not have the ability to eat their food. She said she would bring them and ran off. The large party finished arriving and sitting down right as she brought me a second water forgetting that she had brought me one originally and did not bring utensils for anyone at the table. She then informed me that she has not made my drink at the bar and would not be able to until she finished taking drink orders for the large party that came in. She apologized for the inconvenience and then ran off. Moments later another waiter walking straight towards me slammed my arm with a dish cart. At that point I got up and left. I did not get my drink from the bar so I dont know how that is. I did not get my order so I cant tell you how the food is. I can only say that the service was completely horrible and that they are severely understaffed and probably horribly managed. I guess you can provide horrible service when you're the only Mexican restaurant in town. I will not be going back, and if asked I will strongly advocate that no one I know attend...

Never opens at their posted times. This is the third time I've waited outside only to find the door locked 10 minutes after they are supposed to open, with an "OPEN" sign on the door. Literally will look you straight in the eye through the door glass while you're baking in the sun and still not open the door until 10-15 minutes after they're supposed to be open. I could understand one time, but this is a recurring thing for them. Closes for (more than) two hours right after lunch rush because they are too cheap to pay for the appropriate staff. Also, the food isn't all that good—it's bland and mediocre at best. Also, they have consistently bad service which never improves and an attitude to match. Ordered 2 large cheesy, chicken and rice and a Steak burrito PLATE. I get there pick up my order and get home. The chicken and rice had no cheese and the burrito PLATE did not come with beans and rice. I called and spoke to the guy and he said the beans and rice were on the burrito. Not on a plate they most certainly DO NOT go in the burrito. I was told that my order sat for a LONG time (20 minutes) and that the LIQUID queso had dried up. JUST ADMIT YOU MESSED UP THE ORDER!!!!!! Placed order around 1:20 was picked up and back home by 2:15. It's a 10 minute drive from where I live. Have screen shot proof of when I called and placed the order and when I called back for messed up order. Go ahead a comment because I have proof of where you are lying....
