Swanky, Ice-Cold Taps & The Best Mozzarella Sticks in Beaufort
From the moment I stepped through the doors of the brand-new 1711 Tap House, I knew Beaufort just got the restaurant it’s been craving.
This place drips with upscale coastal vibes — a swanky bar infused with oyster shells, warm brick accent walls, and an impressive wine showcase that’ll make you pause mid-conversation. Even the bathrooms are spotless and beautiful — a sign the owners sweat every detail.
I came in for their opening dinner menu (lunch is rolling out soon) and went all in: wood-fired pizza that landed fast with a perfect blistered crust, melty mozzarella, crispy pepperoni, fresh basil — honestly, some of the best pizza I’ve had south of Charleston.
But the sleeper hero? The mozzarella sticks. I’m a mozzarella stick connoisseur, and these are textbook perfect: golden crunch, cheesy pull, seasoned just right. I stand by this — you can judge a place by their mozzarella sticks, and 1711 Tap House sets the bar high.
On the drink side, the Limoncello Mule was bright, zesty, and refreshing — exactly what you want to sip with a hot pizza. The espresso martini was smooth and silky, and the beer? Ice-cold from 24 taps that’ll keep locals parked at the oyster-shell bar all year long.
Service was on point — friendly, fast, exactly what you hope for at a fresh opening. The crowd leaned couples and groups of women catching up over drinks and sharables, but I’d come solo, on a date, or with a crew — it just works. Erich is an amazing manager.
Standout moment? Honestly, just stepping inside — the building is brand new, the design is dialed, and there’s simply nothing like it around Beaufort. I love the oyster shell infused bar 🫠🤤
Final Verdict: If you’re local or passing through, get here first. Perfect for date night, girls’ night, foodies or just a casual beer-and-pizza hang. Craft cocktails, killer share plates, ice-cold taps, and a vibe that’s finally pushing Beaufort’s food scene forward. Thank you for having me be part of the testing of the new restaurant

Read moreThe atmosphere and the vibe of the restaurant was good. The restaurant was clean and the restrooms were clean. I loved the decor of the restaurant it's very elegant and modern. This is my second time coming to this restaurant. And on both occasions I ordered the chicken alfredo pasta. The Alfredo sauce on the pasta was good, although the dish itself needs some seasoning. And when I say seasoning I do not mean salt and pepper. The type of seasoning I mean is Nature Seasoning (brand name). And or Complete Seasoning (brand name), which are both good seasonings. The grilled chicken that was added to the pasta did not have any flavor. The next time I order the alfredo pasta I'll order it without the chicken. And I'll bring my own seasoning. The restaurant needs to add crispy chicken strips to the menu as an option, to add to your pasta. And I'm talking about the small thin chicken strips, that are crispy. The appetizers that I've tried at the restaurant were the mozzarella sticks and garlic knots. And both appetizers were good. I also tried the Moscato wine and it was delicious. I'm pleased that I asked for a sweet wine and they recommend a good one. The restaurant has an assortment of beers and wine. They also have a menu that includes an assortment of mixed drinks. At this restaurant they have pizzas, salads, appetizers, and pasta. And I forgot to mention they have a long bar with plenty of seating, so you can sit at the bar comfortably. One thing, that I forgot to mention is: when it comes to the food give people the option, and ask them if they want parsley on their food. Because I personally do not like parsley on...

Stopped in at 1711 Tap House and let me tell you — my taste buds are still doing a victory lap. I ordered the Hot Buffalo Wings and the Tour of Italy Pizza.
The wings? Solid. They had the kick to keep a true Buffalonian like me satisfied (which is saying something), but I’ll admit, I was secretly wishing for one more turn of the spice dial — just enough to make me break a sweat and question my life choices. Still, they got the job done, crisp and saucy without being stingy.
The Tour of Italy Pizza though… my God. Whoever dreamed that up deserves a medal, a key to the city, and maybe their own national holiday. Perfect crust, flavors that made me feel like I had been adopted by an Italian grandmother, and just the right balance of toppings. It was so good I nearly proposed to it — and I’m not ruling out going back with a ring.
Bottom line: 1711 Tap House isn’t just a place to eat, it’s a place to believe in food again. If you go, don’t skip the pizza. And if you’re a spice junkie like me, maybe whisper to the chef to hit those wings with a little extra heat.
Highly recommend. Bring napkins, stretchy pants, and the will...
