The Kazoobie Kazoo Factory, Museum, and Gift Shop — Attraction in Beaufort

This was the worst. We went from Charleston area, so this was a trip for my 9 and 4 year old grandchildren. The building was small, and half was a t shirt company. We were greeted by a young man who told us to look around, no tour or history or demonstration. Literally 1 wall and two small dividers with stuff to read. The. Kids were allowed to make a kazoo but be basically chose a color, the man put in a paper and they held it in a machine that stamped it shut. No explanation about it. The young man sat in the gift shop. ,,We bought 3 kazoos with a cheap plastic attachment and 2 small plastic bird whistles that are $10 a dozen on Amazon. It cost 31.97. WAY OVERPRICED in fact the cheesy bird whistles had no price, and the guy somehow said they were 8.99 each, after not knowing the price. ,This was a huge disappointment of a trip. We are from out of town and found Kazoobie Kazoos from searching on google for "fun things to do with kids in Beaufort". You can self tour the small museum for free or pay for a guided behind the scenes tour of the factory. My daughter are age 8 and 10 and absolutely loved visiting. It's very interesting and the kazoos are very affordable. They have an abundant selection of colors and styles. My daughters were so grateful and excited to pick out their own unique Kazoo and are looking forward to returning for some other unique instruments and accessories for their kazoos. So much fun. What a fun little tour! Great guide and very well done. You watch a cute and informative movie and then get a demonstration. It's interesting and it was fun to hear the differences. Then you go through the factory area and see how a kazoo is made. It's so quick and we'll organized. It was neat to see each of the machine's they used. I brought my 3 year old and she did fairly well. She liked the demonstration and building the kazoo, but any longer and we would have had a few issues. So it was the perfect amount of time! I would say that if she was a bit older it would have been better, but our guide was so sweet and patient with her. We had fun and I definitely recommend taking an hour out...
