Went for dinner on 2/27 walked in at 730, we were placed on a 30 min wait and sat at 8. We were given waters and then after about 15 mins we put in our app and entrée orders together. After about another 15 mins we put In for 2 cocktails. Now bear in mind there are a total of 5 tables in the restaurant. 1 of which were on dessert. Cocktails came and after about 30 mins our app hit the table. The fondue, u would expect after 30 mins for it to be piping hot out the over or melt. Nope it was warm and started to solidify before we could finish it with the half hard and half soft pita it was served with. For the next 30 mins we sat in limbo. No check in. No cocktail reorder. 0 communication. Took 5 mins standing up front to request a manager. When we did we got our server. The owner/server acted like me telling him we were running a 55 min ticket time as well as being pretty much forgotten in an empty dining room, he acted like this was news to him. With 4 tables he had no idea of how long food was taking to get out. He offered little to no apology or solution. Instead asked me what I wanted him to do. I WANTED YOU TO DO YOUR JOB, manage the situation. A little communication goes a long way. Come stop by your tables and say. Hey guys sorry we're running a little long on ticket times, but you dinner is working. Can I get you another round of cocktails. There was nothing. So I paid and on the way out the door I caught the other owner/manager walking back from in from a smoke break or trash run. WHO TAKES A BREAK OR TRASH OUT WHILE RUNNING HOUR TICKET TIMES?! I get times are hard staff is reduced, all the more reason to be on point and win every guest that comes through your door. Don't sit there and tell me your running low staff and times are hard. I know this, why I'm sitting in your dining room trying to give you my money. But instead of fixing a problem or even acknowledging it at all. U let a 100$ 2 top walk out on a Friday night paying for an app and a round of drinks instead. Shame the food is so good as well as cocktails but all of that means little to NOTHING when paired with horrible empathetic service. And family ownership that would rather dismiss their errors than take responsibility and fix a dining experience is costing a small business at a hard enough time. Spend time and money else where where you'll get the service you expect. Thank God your only allowed to sit 25% not one Togo order left that door the hour we sat. If you can't handle 4 tables I'd really hate to see what it looks like at full volume. The two kids that call themselves owners have a long way to go before they should hold that title. Mom and dad should for sure reconsider.
Edit 4/5 Don't call me crazy for your complete lack of customer service. The fact that you think someone would provide you this much detail and u blow it off and blame the customer again shows your lack of service. So I'll say it again spend ur money else where. Oh and if u want a copy of my culinary degree I'd be glad to provide it as well....
Read moreWent to dinner here tonight to celebrate some work awards i won, service was not great. We got there and were sat at 8. We ordered both an appetizer and our dinner at the same time. After about 10min we decided to order drinks. Drinks took awhile to come out to the table. About 30min went by and we finally got our appetizer which was the fondue, for as long as it took i would have expected it to come out boiling but it was just warm. At about 9:05, our dinner had not arrived at the table and our drinks were empty. The server who is also apparently part owner walked past our table twice to give a table next to us dessert and not once glanced over. At this point I got up and waited at the host stand for a few minutes to ask to speak to a manager. I was surprised to see our server was the person to handle this matter. I told him I was upset by how long our food had taken and that no one asked if we wanted another round of drinks. He seemed surprised to hear the food was taking as long as it did. Mind you, there were only 4 other active tables at this point. We basically asked for the check and left. There was hardly an apology, no solution, we left without eating dinner and no one even asked if we would prefer to have it to go; he just let us know he cancelled our order in the kitchen and handed us the check. Really disappointing as this place has good food but good service trumps good food and i will never be back here.
Edit 04/05:: responding to the owner’s response; there are 2 identical reviews because my boyfriend and I both left one. You say you went through receipts to find our names but couldn’t as if no one pays cash. But don’t worry, my boyfriend took a screenshot of his bank records proving our business. Whats even more sad, is rather than apologizing, you called us crazy. Not sure what smoking has anything to do with anything. The point was your manager wasn't in the store when your kitchen staff was...
Read moreWent here on Valentine's day. We wanted Italian, but not O. G. or S. F.. So I went searching the near me. We found Degario's. It's not anywhere we would have thought to look. I liked what I saw on their website and drove in to try it. The wait time at the door was longer then it would normally be. Simply because the 2 waiters were doing triple duty. Host, server, and bus. They were working hard and we could see it. 40 min wait. Not the best but given the night. Acceptable. As we were being seated the server hands my wife a long stem red rose with a shyly said "Happy Valentine's Day".. We start looking over the menu and drink list. Everything reads great. We both mention that there seamed to be a lot of white wines. Clearly out numbering the reds. I notice the taps. I see a stout... Yup We order an appetizer and my wife a Malbec, me a Stout. We order our dinner at the same time. The dish come to is fairly quick. A nice pairing of Prosciutto, Roma tomato, parmesan in a flat bread done panini with a lovely mustard sauce. Served with a house Marinara. My wife orders a tortellini dis and I go with the bone in pork chop. Both fantastic. The tortellini is pared with prosciutto in a gental cheese sauce. The chop served with saute' onion and red peppers. Again fantastic, though the sauce could have been reduced. Ok yes it was wonderful. Great food. Great atmosphere. Awesome staff. But the bad. Nothing major. I just noticed the lack of certain types of dished. Mainly Rissoto.. Or that the chop lacked a starch. But it was still great. Then it was time. No Not to leave, but to have the clincher. Dessert. No.... like TIRAMISU House made TIRAMISU..... It was so good. Over all we liked it. Yes... We will be back. I'm thinking a date night location. I hope to get to...
