As someone who is passionate about Vietnamese cuisine, I can wholeheartedly say that Happy Bamboo has won my heart. The authentic Vietnamese dishes, lovingly prepared by the owners themselves, truly shine in their quality and taste.
As a business owner and sole proprietor, I understand the importance of caring for customers, and it is evident that the owners of Happy Bamboo prioritize this. The happiness they pour into their cooking shines through in every delicious bite.
I have been to numerous Vietnamese restaurants in Oregon and Washington, but Happy Bamboo stands out as the best in my honest opinion. I genuinely hope they continue to share their love for Vietnamese cuisine with the community for years to come.
My wife, who is Filipino, also enjoyed their takeout food as much as I did, and I look forward to bringing her to the restaurant next time. I am incredibly grateful that such amazing Vietnamese food is just a 10-minute drive from my home, but I would not hesitate to drive 45 minutes each way if needed—it's that good.
Please take note of my review history, where I do not shy away from leaving 1-star reviews to help others. A 5-star review from me is not given lightly, and in the case of Happy Bamboo, it truly signifies an exceptional experience.

Read moreFirst time going to this little spot and it was a lovely experience! I got a shrimp salad roll and a tofu and veggie pho. A couple of things to knock them down a star, but overall I’d definitely come back. The atmosphere was cute (I got takeout, but still took note) and the service was very friendly. Here are my thoughts on the food. The spring rolls: I make these at home but I’m traveling and wanted a taste. For $7 I expected a lot more from these like herbs, vegetables, more noodles, etc. but it was essentially noodles, lettuce, shrimp and bean sprouts. I wanted more flavor but the peanut sauce was delicious and much needed.
The pho: I LOVED the fried tofu it really added such a fun texture and flavor element. I’ve been eating veggie pho for 10 years and that was one of the better tofu preparations. However the broth is really lacking. This is a good veggie pho, but I have had better. I also wish they had different sizes because pho doesn’t keep well and it was a good portion but I couldn’t eat it all. I wish they’d given more than 1 packet of hoisin sauce in the to go...
Read moreThis place is like a treasure, it looks like an Asian fast food restaurant from the outside, but in fact, when you walk in, you will find it very delicious! I have always been here to eat at an Italian restaurant nearby, when I first saw it I thinking it was just an ordinary fast food restaurant. It wasn't until one day when my husband and I coincidentally walked in that we found out their beef soup noodles were so delicious! I fell ill last night and couldn't eat anything. My mind was full of their beef noodles!
The owner’s service was very considerate. I told him that I wanted to replace the pho in the beef soup with noodles, and he had no problem. A very precious...
