Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Becker

I placed a mobile order through the DQ app for pickup tonight, scheduled for 5:42 PM. I arrived seven minutes early, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. At 5:41 PM, I received my order but noticed an item was missing. I informed a crew member, who made a new one but mistakenly prepared a cheeseburger instead of the deluxe I ordered. I asked if it was a deluxe, and he assured me it was, but I double-checked and pointed out the mistake.

After about six minutes, I finally got my food. When I checked it at home, I found it had mayo on it, despite my request to have it removed. It seems there’s a need for better training to prevent these issues in the future. The ol’ ball and chain and I were rippin’ up north when the tendy shakes kicked in. Had to make a pit stop for a 6-piece and a frosty DC.

We’ve been to a lot of MN DQ’s in our day, and as a professional chef, I have ridiculous expectations when it comes to tendies.

I can say with 100% confidence these were 10/tendy tendies. Hot, salted, and the perfect marriage of ranch and that beautiful, Cheeto-colored buffalo sauce. Staff was over the top friendly (though if you’re reading this anytime soon, swap that syrup bag out on your Coca Cola gun, she’s low on fructose).

The WORST experience for the second time in a row. I should have known better from my last visit here but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. I waited an additional 15 minutes past what the app said for the time my food was supposed to be ready. It would’ve been “quicker” going through drive-thru. I recommend making the drive to Clearwater or Big Lake instead (sadly). They also don’t do the upside down blizzard “trick” to show that it’s fresh… mostly because it’s melting by the time you get it...
