Godfather's Pizza — Restaurant in Becker

First impressions are important. We were nervous about where to get our pizza from, since our regular place isn't around anymore. We had been at a friends for dinner, and the pizza he got from Godfathers in Becker was good, so we gave them a try. Prices are decent, but not for the quality of food we got. We got one of the bundle deals with two med pizzas and two sides. I got the buffalo chicken specialty pizza, and a one topping pizza, plus the monkey bread for sides. When the delivery guy came to the apartment, he said he had tried to call because he'd never delivered to an apartment before, but they took down the wrong number. When he took out my order, one of the monkey bread covers was smashed in on one side. Not a huge deal, but I now know to open the pizza boxes when they deliver because the pizza had slid in the boxes and 1/4 of both pizzas were smashed in on themselves. At this point, I don't care, I just want to eat. Both pizzas were mozzarella filled crusts, and that is a mistake I won't make again. Limp and soggy, and even the kids were disappointed. We ate what we could but tossed out the rest, and that is something I NEVER do to pizza. I will give one more try, but will try thin crust next time. Very disappointing, Becker, Mn. Very...

I am someone that absolutely LOVES Godfathers pizza- my favorite pizza joint hands down. And this Godfathers is an imposter!! The food is nothing like any other Godfathers chain. I didn't know this was possible, but the food was completely different than the pictures. False advertising?! I ordered breadsticks (which are usually seasoned and rectangle shape like on their online image) and they were plain oval with no seasoning and served with probably the worst sauce I've ever tasted. I ended up throwing most of the food I ordered away. Very, very disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place in Becker, but don't let this place turn you off from Godfathers. We live in the Twin Cities and go to a cabin up near Brainerd Minnesota. All Godfathers near us have closed. When we found the Becker location, we started ordering the taco pizza on our way home. When we explain to them, we were from the Twin Cities. They told us that they could keep the cold things off the pizza in a separate container for us. The owners go above and beyond. The pizzas are incredible and we only wish we’d live closer so we could get more. The taco pizza is the best taco pizza we’ve ever had.
