Oh, where to even begin with this confectionery catastrophe? It seems we paid over $115 for a cake that was less "happy birthday" and more "happy guessing game." We ordered a funfetti cake for my niece, but what we received was a two-tiered science experiment: a chocolate bottom and a vanilla top. A beautiful surprise, if you're a fan of culinary roulette. The real showstopper, however, was the decoration. Instead of the edible cake pops we were promised, the cake was adorned with foam balls covered in fondant. You know, for that authentic "choking hazard chic" look. Not only were these inedible decorations a safety risk for a child's birthday party, but the bakery also failed to mention this little detail. It's truly a testament to their customer service: they'd rather risk a trip to the ER than a quick heads-up. When I brought up this monumental mess, their solution was to generously offer a 20% discount. That's right, a $24 apology for a cake that was completely wrong, and over half of it chocolate which we don't eat, potentially dangerous, and a massive disappointment. I'm so glad they value my niece's and her friends safety and birthday joy at just a fraction of the cost. You can keep your 20%āI'll be taking my business to a bakery that uses ingredients one can actually eat and knows the difference between funfettie...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKenzie's Kakes delivers on all fronts! The cupcakes are so moist and the almond cake is divine. Gourmet quality and beautifully decorated. The shop is aesthetically appealing, and there is a calming sense as soon as you enter the shop. It is a safe place, filled with goodies and goodness. I sat in the top floor eating area and read the Bible and devotional she has available. I chose the Razzle Dazzle iced coffee and it was delicious! More importantly the cup had an encouraging scripture printed on it: to pray about everything and worry about nothing. I bought 6 cupcakes for $10. They were packed with care in a pretty bright pink box that also had a Bible verse on it. Kenzie's kitchen area is clean and bright. She has beautiful cakes for sale. Great prices for the level of creativty and taste she produces. Wow! What a find! I got fed both spiritually and physically. I will be back. The menu is vast. I bought a couple of her fruit energy teas as well, and made them at home. They gave me energy without the jitters and tasted tropical. They fizz when you brew it. Makes you smile and dissolves well. Not grainy. I really like the "Power Teas."
Kenzie blesses her customers with the Best! She is a blessing to her community. Support this business. I will be a repeat customer when I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed an order for my daughterās birthday for a 2 tier vanilla & funfetti cake. The inspiration picture showed a cake decorated with a few cake pops on top. We received a vanilla on top & chocolate bottom tier cake decorated with foam balls dipped in chocolate. This would be okay however my daughter hates chocolate cake thatās why we didnāt order chocolate cake and over half the cake was chocolate so it went to waste. I paid over $113 for this cake. I called the bakery & they pulled the ticket & acknowledged the flavors were vanilla & funfetti. They offered a 20% refund or a discount for a future order or a dozen cupcakes. I donāt really feel a %20 refund is sufficient since they got our order wrong and the majority of our over $100 cake went to waste. Unfortunately, I donāt think Iāll be returning as a costumer. ): Also, I donāt recall ever hearing an āapologyā. Even after I stated āitās just upsetting she couldnāt enjoy her cake because she doesnāt like chocolate..ā and the response was āshe didnāt eat the vanilla?ā Well. We didnāt order chocolate, we ordered funfetti which is what she was excited for. (1) Inspiration pic & (2) what...
