Tried ordering items, were told they were no longer serving those items but hadnt had time to remove them from the menu. Waited 45 minutes for our meal, was brought the wrong order, so I ate after my family was finished eating. When my bill arrived I was charged for a kids meal that the menu said was free on Saturday. When I brought that to my waitresses attention she adjusted the bill. A second time the bill was brought to me an extra drink was added. I questioned the waitress and as she had only been working there two days had no answer. She checked with owner and returned saying that because my child ate off of the kids eat free menu and even her drink rang up free, they were required to then charge for extra drink. I was highly upset at this point. I spoke to the owner who told me I should have known that if the kids ate off the kids eat free menu I would get charged with a drink. I asked if it stated so on the menu and I didn't see it? She said no, I was just supposed to know. Omg at this point I was fuming. She removed the extra drink blaming the waitress and saying she hadn't been there the whole time and didn't know. I politely tipped my waitress who was mortified at the chain of events and advised them all that I would not ever return . Awful, just awful. IN RESPONSE TO FULL OF EXCUSES OWNER!!! No sir, you are the one who is exaggerating the truth. First, we did wait 45 minutes not 25, we didn't complain, and we were fully aware that the waitress was new. Yes we ordered tabouli, and you the owner did say you were changing your menu and the item was no longer on the menu. Which is what I stated the first time. Second, no one ordered a 1/2 lb western burger, my 13 year old son ordered a mushroom burger and to blame a 45 minute wait on a hamburger is ridiculous, you are a diner after all its what you do. Third, yes you remade the order as I previously stated and I ate "after" my family had finished their meals. So let's move on to the kids meal, my receipt rang up the kids meal including drink. When the kids meal was removed, it stated on my bill, kids drink 0.00. Yet there was suddenly a new charge for a new drink. And at this time sir you had gone out the door and your wife had been left in charge. When I brought this up to my waitress I absolutely was told that she was told by your wife to add the drink. I then took it up with the young lady at the register, again you were not present so you can not tell me what was spoken. The young lady at counter said my waitress was wrong and she would remove the drink. Your wife then stepped in and said I should've known that the drink wouldn't be covered even though it rang on receipt as included. I asked her if it stated that on menu, she said no. I asked her how the customer would then know and she said my waitress should've told me. And explained that my waitress was new. I told her my waitress was wonderful for having been new and your wife's words sir where, well I am not trying to throw the waitress under the bus but she is new. So in the end your wife did remove the drink from my bill. However it all compiled, made for an awful experience and for you the owner to blame the customer who had never visited your establishment before is just not good business practice. Seems your not very apologetic for my awful experience as you are more concerned with blaming the customer. Not a very good way to attract returning customers. Don't make excuses sir and don't speak on events for which you were not present you never know when someone is recording events. Shame on you for trying to convince the public that you know better about how I feel about my...
Read moreI waited a while to update my review. I have been coming here for about 5 years. It used to be awesome. The last few times have been not the greatest. We had a new server today. She was very pleasant. I hope she goes elsewhere. It's the general atmosphere and the staff that have been there. I tipped over 20%. I always tip at least 20. I can afford to eat out. We went there at the request of my son. We were sat next to the kitchen. All of the servers there were so loud I literally could not hear anything my son was saying to me. We had to move tables. Even then it was difficult. They were swearing and talking about all of the customers and it was super uncomfortable. As we were checking out one of the servers said he didn't want an omlete. He wanted a mushroom and Swiss. That's his mistake not mine. It's not my mistake. It's not my job to cater to you or ask you a bunch of questions. It's literally their job though. It's why you are tipped. The kitchen makes the food. You bring it and assist with the menu. Bring drinks. Yes dealing with the public is not ideal but it's the job you signed up for. I cant go into my place of employment and say. Nope. I'm not doing my job today. Now pay me top dollar. No business opperates successfully like that. I feel bad for the owner he's a genuinley nice guy. His staff though. They need more breaks or a break room. It was noon on a Saturday I had my child like you shouldn't be talking or behaving that way in front of kids. Vent if you need too but don't do it in front of people then have the nerve to be upset about your tips. That is why your getting bad tips. Knowing the menu is the servers literal job. I didn't even know the guy but I could imagine by how loud they were being he didn't feel too comfortable or appreciate that. It was so uncomfortable. I had to tell my son we wouldn't be going back. I genuinley disslike leaving bad reviews. Everyone has a bad day. There's a time and a place though. It really was not...
Read moreBEST BACON IN TOWN!!! My wife and I tried this place for the first time expecting your typical "diner" experience as it relates to food quality and cleanliness. Boy were we wrong. One thing is for certain... This place puts a strong emphasis on food quality. You can clearly see it and most importantly, TASTE IT!
I ordered the 3 eggs/bacon/toast/sliced potatoes. My food quality expectations were what I usually get at every other "breakfast" diner I go to: plain wonder bread for toast /overcooked bacon/nothing special potatoes... Once again I was wrong. The toast was thicker like a Texas toast and was toasted to perfection. The potatoes had a flavorful seasoning and were thinly sliced (not chunky). This gave them some texture and crunch. Now to the BEST part... The BACON. Oh mama let me tell you about the bacon. Simple put... THICK... fried top perfection... A+++ FLAVOR. This was the best tasting bacon that I have EVER had. NO JOKE / NO EXAGERATION and NO I am not related to anyone who works there. The bacon had a smokiness flavor to it that was soooo good, I wanted to place a to go order on it. Who places a "TO GO" order on a 3 piece side order of bacon? NOBODY! But trust me... You will want to after you try it.
Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. It' clean and the food is great. My wife and I usually go to the same spot with the low expectations and walk away with the average satisfaction. I am so glad that we gave this place a chance. I cant wait to see what flavorful surprises are waiting for us on the lunch/dinner menu. I would like to thank the owner for giving such importance to the quality of the ingredients and preparedness. You can really see and taste...
