For only the second time I stopped in to order a pizza that I've heard so much about. For the second time I felt invisible. I went up to the bar to order and the bar tender told me he would come around to the table I was sitting at. He went to other tables including people that came in after me and disappeared for 5 to 10 more minutes before coming to me to take my order.
Then at least 5 to 10 minutes later, more people came in and he took their order. These last people got their food before me. I finally went up to the bar to check on my food. He disappeared to the kitchen to check and apparently the kitchen forgot/lost my order and tells me it'll just be a little while. I should have said nevermind and left, but I waited. The food eventually comes out and several jokes from other patrons. I eat, and ask for my check. A non itemized check comes and it seems about right so I pay it. Then five minutes later the bartender picks it up looks at it looks at the register, back and forth and I ask if there's a problem.
He thinks he gave me the wrong check. So five minutes more goes by while he figures out what he should do. Then he gives me a check for a dollar and some odd cents. I question if this is in addition to what I already paid and he seems confused by the question and looks at me as if it's a dumb question. Then he finally takes it and looks at it and then back to the register for more pondering. I then get another check for a little less than the first check. This time it was itemized so I know it was correct, but I left not really knowing if I was still paying for the first check too. Luckily my CC bill only...

And when I moved back to Michigan this summer, the first time my parents came up to visit they brought Village Pizza. Heaven! Sadly, we can no longer patronize this establishment. The handful of times any of us have been there since the COVID crisis began, we were extremely disappointed to discover that hardly any of the staff (waiters, kitchen staff, nobody) were wearing masks and those that were were wearing them incorrectly, under their nose or even under their chin. To have such careless disregard for your loyal customers is very disheartening. I hope we can come back, once the pandemic is over, but I know I will think twice about it, knowing how little concern is taken for health safety. I don't know where I can find a better thin crust pizza, so I'm very, very...
