My husband and I arrived at the Bedford, NH location for lunch around 12:30 p.m. today, 10/6/23. We had to wait to be seated even though there was maybe one or two tables with customers there. Once seated, we waited for someone to come to our table. 3 girls were walking about, filling several syrup and sugar containers on a table next to us. 3 more people came in after us, and a waitress looked at the other 2 girls filling items at the table, and looked at our table as if to signal who was going to help us. All 3 shrugged their shoulders, and the girl went over to the 3 people who arrived AFTER us. She made comments about how much she liked one of the customers' head scarf and carried on with them while no-one would come to our table. The waitress then walked back to the table where the other 2 girls were filling containers. We finally looked over and asked if someone was going to take our order or even come to our table. Immediate attitudes from all 3 girls standing there. We were stunned at the terrible service and attitudes of these 3 girls working there. Very unfriendly from the moment we walked in. One relayed to us "she'll be over". We waited again, and 2 girls took a debit/credit card from a customer to pay, and another walked over to another table, and again, we were left sitting there. We finally got up and left and no-one said a word to us. We had to walk right by the girls just standing there filling containers up and then assisting the few customers that were there. The restaurant was dirty as well. It was disgusting the way we were treated with a large lack of respect and also given attitudes for merely existing in a restaurant. We will never be back at this location again. This restaurant needs management to speak with these girls or better management or hiring requirements because there was NO customer service here. Filling syrup and sugar containers should not be priority over waiting on customers as if we were not even there. Customers are the ones who pay the wages of these girls and/or tips, and they need to realize that bad service and attitudes can close a business down. Customers MAKE THE BUSINESS. We ended up going to Carrabbas down the road and had a fantastic lunch with great service and friendly staff, and even ran into the grand opening of the new...
Read moreFirst of all they are great at certain things but not others. Definitely a breakfast place. They serve breakfast all day and also serve lunch and dinner. Up until this visit I had only gone in the morning but this time I went after 4pm,my daughters and I walked in and there were only about 3 other tables with people in them,we waited 10 minutes to be seated and we're brought to a dirty table,we waited while they cleaned it,then the woman throws menus down before the table dried so of course they stick to the table. Not a great way to start off but we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We order and wait 20 minutes for our orders,I got a steak and cheese sandwich, the roll was rock hard and half the steak was hot and dry, the rest was cold and rubbery. My older daughter ordered a quesadilla,it was a few pieces of tough chicken and a little sprinkle of cheese. My youngest daughter ordered the fried chicken meal which was chicken, potatoes, and corn. The chicken was burnt and dry,the potatoes were powdery, and the corn was missing. I got the attention of the waitress and asked about the corn, she said "well,do you still want the corn?" So we said yes,she comes back 5 minutes later and says " we're out of corn" I asked if we could substitute another vegetable and she said "Umm I guess" she ordered broccoli and got it 5 minutes later,of course it was cold but by this time I knew we hit it at a bad time. In short definitely go here for breakfast foods but not for lunch or dinner. It's almost as if they don't really know how to make the lunch and dinner foods because they're so used to breakfast foods, which they do an...
Read moreThis is the restaurant nightmare. I have never been to a restaurant being run like this. Ever. We went in for breakfast around 10 am August 1st, very few people in the dining room. No hostess to seat us, waited for 5 minutes, then someone came out with a take out order and set it on the desk. She said she will back soon. Instead of seating us, she went away and came back in few minutes, seated us at a table next to a family with few kids while there were so many empty tables. When asked whether we could sit the one on the other side, she rolled her eyes and seated us there. We waited for 5 minutes, a server brought coffee and water. For the next 10 minutes no one came to take our order. I saw a couple of people came in, they also waited a while to be seated and a server quickly went there to take their order. Then I went and told that server we were waiting for almost 15 minutes and no one took our order. Then he apologized and took our order. This has never happened to me in any restaurant anywhere, believe me, I worked in the hospitality industry and am aware that things could happen. We got nervous about the situation in the kitchen if this is what front of the house looks like. We got up and left. I am puzzled by how could the owner let this place go downhill like this. You read all the negative reviews here, instead of simply writing a reply, why not do something about fix the problems? I am appalled by how this place is being neglected and IHOP still let's this place have their franchise....
