Beeville Steakhouse — Restaurant in Beeville

I recently moved away from beeville but I went back down when I heard it was open to try it out. I went with family and we were sat down right away. Our server was Nicole and she is the sweetest waitress ever. We were a larger table of 7, however she had quick service and was fantastic. While we were waiting for our food Nicole had asked us if we wanted rolls to start off with- we said yes and those rolls were so delicious especially with the cinnamon butter! Devoured the rolls seconds!! Our food came out within 15-20 minutes of ordering. The soup of the day was delicious (I believe it was chicken tortilla soup). I order the berry nut salad as my main course which was my go to when it was the beeville diner. I was happy to realize it was just as delicious as I remembered. My cousin got the buffalo chicken sandwich and I was in heaven when I took a bite because it is better than the buffalo ranch chicken strip sandwich from Whataburger! Today I had chicken fried chicken and baked potato. The chicken was great, as expected. The baked potato was not hot enough to melt butter. My server lady could have been a little more attentive, but she was very nice. I see this as a small glitch as a new business opening. I'm sure things will be better next time, because I certainly will go again soon. Also, it sure is noisy. They need something to absorb some sound, like carpet. Maybe just on some walls. I don't know. Just to update. Went on Saturday the 14th. Food is great. Service was good. The biggest problem I have, the chicken fried chicken is one breast hammered out to look large and even cooking. When it was the Diner, you got at least 2 breasts not hammered out, and was always perfect. And when it was the Diner you got choice of salad or soup plus 2 more sides. Now the soup or salad is one of your sides. So 2 items is all. With the much higher prices and less food, to me, is a problem. I will continue to go there, but I am...

Update November 6, 2024 - We went for an early dinner and ordered the special, catfish plate and a flounder plate. The food was good but we had to use a knife to cut our fish. Service was very good, we told her about the problem with the fish. It tasted good, it just wasn’t flaky or able to use just a fork.

Update 8/17/24 - we wanted to try one of our favorite plates, stuffed flounder which didn’t disappoint! The service was great and the food and drinks (House Margarita) were great!

Update 5/12/24 - we went for a mid-dinner, and the service was good along with the food.

Wanted to check out the new renovated restaurant. The service was excellent, waitress was very attentive. The food was good, the broccoli was cooked with butter and a large amount of Italian seasoning which I didn’t like with my chopped sirloin steak with mushrooms & onion gravy.
