H & T Seafood Inc — Restaurant in Bell

I purchased some frozen salmon in central Florida and the package was clearly marked WILD CAUGHT which is why I bought it. I noticed after opening it that in small print it stated that it was a product of China. I called the company's phone number on its Website (headquarters in Bell, CA). The person that answered the phone talked to me in broken English but definitely made it clear that I was not welcome to ask any questions about their product. The person also refused to let me speak with anyone in Customer Service or a supervisor.

It is quite frightening to purchase or eat food in this country from a business who will not tell you anything about their product. I suspect that the WILD CAUGHT is not true and that consumer will never be permitted to know whether this product came from a junk fish farm or GMO production in China or some other place which produces fish in an unclean & unsafe conditions. I believe that California should police the marketing of safe food & honest labeling with easy access to full disclosure of information. This company should be out of business...
