Smart & Final Distribution Center — Local services in Commerce

I'm not surprised that most people in these reviews think this location is unfriendly. At check-in, security made me break my seal instead of them. Then, when I was given directions, they talked very fast and annoyed as if I was bothering them. Because of that, I made a mistake and attempted to make a u-turn by the receiving office instead of dock 41. I thought I had enough clearance to do so, but ended up having to undo my position to prevent a jackknife. After finally backing into my door and checking into the office, a staff member demanded to know why I was late. I told him that I notified my company in advance that I was going to be because of traffic. So he scoffed and said that he was about to refuse me since apparently he wasn't told anything. Ultimately, it was a very frustrating delivery, and it was one of the worst ones I have had in a while. I hope this place realizes how poorly they treat their drivers if they intend on staying in business....

Truckers!! Avoid this place, people are rude and act as if you are bothering them. Tried to check in @ 9:30 am for a 10:00 am delivery was told to come back at 10:00 because they were busy, and was told to park on the street. Good luck finding parking on the street. after almost half hour of going around in circles, i went back to try to check in, where there was now a huge line and the reason for that was because security wont even acknowledge you and act as if they are filling out paperwork which they weren’t, took 30 minutes to check in. Then went to turn in the paperwork for the load so i could get unloaded and they were on break, so now i have been here for two hours and they wont be back for another 30 minutes! Again for your own sanity avoid...

Personally, I don't have a bad experience with the place. As a Hispanic person. You work hard and if you have anything wrong, you report it immediately. You don't stay quiet and make a big deal out of it, right When the company is leaving.. as you can read all these comments, it's only white people. And Asians, they're complaining.. It's pretty bad to see these comments from people that get paid over $30 an hour for really not doing anything... In order to fix the problem, you need to report a problem first .. I mean, if you have proof they did all this and have been reporting it & they dont dk anythingabout it.. Then you just get an attorney. Because obviously your union wasn't doing. Their union job, so maybe you should...
