Riccardo's — Restaurant in Belleview

Ricardo's is a nice homey, Italian Restaurant. It is located in a strip plaza and is a little hard to find but you'll be glad you did. There is handicap accessible parking, entrance and restrooms. The wait staff is pleasant and attentive. They have daily specials and the hours and specials can be seen in the pictures attached. The meal - I ordered the pasta special. It came with two stuffed shells, two raviolis which were both parmed and a side of spaghetti. They have five sauces, a house sauce, marinara, meat sauce, alfredo and a clam wine sauce. I got the house sauce, Very Nice. Next is the Chicken Sausage Rustica. It has a chicken breast with slices of Italian sausage sauteed with vegetables over angel hair pasta, again very nice. Next is the Bourbon Street pasta. This is chicken, andouille sausage and large shrimp sauteed with onions peppers and tomatoes. This was one of the favorites of the night. And the last meal is a shrimp scampi done very nicely with many large shrimp. We were offered dessert but we declined. We were all very full and still had meals to take home.

Update; 7/22/21 It has been a while since we been here so we decided to make a night of it... Sadly to our disappointment.... The service was OK, but never saw the waiter after the dinner was served (until we finally saw him and asked for the check).... the wife's Raviolis were OK but my angel hair pasta with house sauce and side of Italian Sausage left a lot to be desired... the angle hair turned into regular pasta, the house sauce tasted exactly the same as the Marinara sauce (lacking flavor) and what can I say when they bring a 3 inch piece of sausage that was so over cooked I needed a knife to cut it (they charge like almost $4.00 for it) needless to say there are plenty of other place to spend our money and time to enjoy a...

I’ve had Ricardo’s once before but I can’t believe I hadn’t reviewed them or been there again recently. I stopped by and let me just say (this is going to be a long review) I stopped by after not having been by for a very long while. The last item I had was the Spaghetti and Meatballs. They are quite advanced as the menu was on an iPad. After not knowing what to pick. My server recommended one of the chefs dinner specials. I picked the filet mignon, with bacon wrapped scallop, shrimp, and Mushroom/Spinach. With plenty of bread to spare. It was awesome food 👏. While I waited there was plenty to read from newspapers to local business cards. Also they have a sink OUTSIDE of the restroom which was amazing. As I’ve never seen anything like it before and I find it very useful. My servers name is Bob and he was fantastic. He was very attentive and all around a very nice guy that gave off great vibes. Whenever I return again I hope to have him as my server. GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE HE DESERVES IT!There is a reason this restaurant has been here for almost 12 YEARS! I have been to the restaurant on two separate occasions. The first time was for dinner. We started with the bruschetta for an appetizer. The bread was sliced so thin that it became soggy from the veggie mixture. The drizzle of balsamic was overwhelming to the point that it was all that I could taste. For the meal I ordered the chicken marsala and was not at all impressed. My husband ordered the chicken parm and thought that it was okay. We went some place else for dessert.

My second visit was with friends for dessert. The meeting place was not my suggestion. However, I thought that it was a good time to sample the dessert. I ordered the cannoli. It looked great when it was brought out. There was a lot in the way of toppings, syrup drizzle along with large chocolate chips. The taste was meh. I felt that the filling could've been mixed a bit longer the consistency was a little off. The filling however was not overly sweet. Perhaps that was the reason for the volume of topping? My friends all ordered cheesecake and thought that it was good. If I go back for dessert maybe I'll order it instead. As for dinner, I will not...
