Toomey Tools — Local services in Belleview

3rd trip this week to purchase a caburator... This time I made the mistake of going in on the weekend... My kids and I purchase all our fishing bait here also.. Think I will change.. Mr Toomey does a great job and services to the community but needs a replacement weekend staff... Was told by 1 of the 3 older and middle age women who cannot help with any parts references that they are "not a parts store"... The carb I brought in to match up had a couple drops of fuel in it and they acted like the Hiroshima bomb went off in the store... Pitched and fit and made a scene... I uttered under my breath low to the silver headed lady who is always there... "Hey, you guys sell parts and tools, y'all did not have to make such a big deal out of the gas smell, which really was not that bad"... She then told me they are not a parts store and I could take my business elsewhere...rudely, though I had calmly and very low mentioned the nature of the business and their over reaction and act was way over the top... Avoid this place on the weekends in Belleview til the staff is replaced if you need anything more than fishing bait... Sorry Mr Toomey, but this is like the 4th time I'm the last couple years I have had issues in Belleview on the weekends only... Great during the week... The middle age short haired weird looking lady told me to take my part outside even though I was already out the door removing the carb bowl to make sure their was no fuel remaining at my truck...she actually followed me out to tell me this...that was pretty idiotic... She was so delayed I already had it apart and dry......seriously need replacement staff or better workers on...

Very good company very good store very good people they've been in business 47 years they have three locations these are some great people to shop with if you're looking for something it is your mom and pop hardware store and more every one of their locations if you ask them for an eye latch hook for your front door they can walk you right to it and everything's priced accordingly it's not $5 for something that should be a dollar it's a dollar and they're always good people they're willing to work with you and help you out even do layaways on some of their items I've never not been able to get a part or anything I've ever needed from any of their stores I even wait to shop at one of their stores locally instead of going to my major...

The lady working was extremely Rude! She was busy watching a toddler while working and seemed really bothered that I was in the store. She lied and said they were closed even though there were other customers still shopping. I looked at my phone and told her the time. It was 10 mins before they closed. She got snappy with me and asked me what I wanted got it for me, then didn't offer me a bag as she offered another customer a bag that was still shopping. It's pretty disappointing I would expect more from a local business. Why would I go back when there is an Ace Hardware store & Advanced Auto Parts right down the street, and flea market practically across the street. I personally think this business is a front to hide...
