Edit 2: Went back in, saw the buffalo chicken pizza, asked if Mike made it, he confirmed it himself, and once again IT WAS AMAZING! Moral of the story; Order from Thursday to Sunday, and ask for Mike to make the pie. Perfect amount of cheese, nice soft-crunchy crust, balanced toppings, beautiful and delicious. And if you get it from anyone else, make sure they have a receipt from "Mike's Pizza Making Masterclass" first!
Edit: Formerly a 5 star review. I walked in on a Thursday and got two slices of buffalo chicken pizza. IT WAS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! I ordered a pie the following Sunday and, again, the best.. Unfortunately, that's the last time it was good. I've ordered twice since then and both times were a floppity, heavy, cheesy mess that I couldn't finish. This time I called ahead and tried to explain my experience, and figure out who had made my pie the first two times. They weren't much help, but it was Thursday again, so I chose to roll the dice. Big mistake. Another mediocre mess. This time I asked who made the pie and was told "Teddy." The driver was the one who spoke to me earlier and this time said "On Thursday-Sunday it's either Mike or Teddy and Mike was sent on an errand by the owner." I could tell from the smell and the weight that it was going to be disappointing, and said to the driver that I'm 99% certain Mike was the one I wanted. I got the impression he could have guessed that, which is kind of annoying since he didn't warn me. I mean, I called initially in the hopes that whoever I spoke to would get the hint and hand it to the person they felt could make the best pie. But nope. So, If ever do go back, I will specifically ask for Mike.
Original: OH MY GOD! That was the BEST buffalo chicken pizza I've ever had anywhere, EVER! I went in and had two slices yesterday and it was amazing, then I ordered a full pie tonight and again, AMAZING! Seriously, you have to try this pizza, I'm foaming at the mouth just writing this review and I'm pretty sure it's not rabies!...
Read moreI saw all great reviews of this place but went with reservations anyway as pizza reviews can be mixed and specific to what people like. While the pizza was at best ok, I would not return. I happen to prefer a pizza that is not just loaded up with cheese and not dripping with grease. They used canned mushrooms and I happen to prefer all fresh ingredients. If this is your type of pizza, I personally would go down to broad street and have Vinnie's as the price is the same but the flavor is better.
The service was good. The young lady that helped us was attentive and did her best. They got our order wrong and put green peppers instead of the cherry peppers that we specifically requested. We simply picked them off and ate our pizza anyway.
I can really say anything bad about the place. They just don't make food that I prefer or anything like I would in my own home. I just want to leave this review for those that have a taste for high quality and unique flavor. If you are looking for a inexpensive, heavy, large pie, then this is your place. No way does it deserve a 26 rating.
As far as the decor, its just a corner pizza joint. Don't expect a candle on your table or any inkling of ambiance. It has outdated tables and could use some updating on the decor. Its not dirty or anything but I have been to much better places in the same price range. Again, I was thrown off here by the rating.
I am probably being a little more critical on this review than others because I want a realistic review here and think its overly high rating is very misleading. Its a 16 at best and honestly I think that's where they will remain. I think that's just the type of place it is...
Different strokes for different folks!
Give em a try but don't expect any of what I...
Read moreI ordered delivery for a pizza, a veggie wrap with honey mustard, and a Caesar wrap. I specially asked the phone girl to put the honey mustard and the Caesar dressing on the side of each wrap. I stated that I did not want either dressings on either wrap. The phone girl repeated the entire order back to me and even confirmed the dressings to be on the side. My food was delivered in a timely manner. I immediately put the food down and checked the bag to make sure that the dressings were not on either wraps and I was upset to find that they had not left the Caesar dressing on the side but instead it was in the wrap. This would normally not be a problem but I wanted to be able to save the wrap for a bit. So I called the restaurant back and spoke to a man this time. I explained to him multiple times that I had asked the phone girl specifically to put all dressings on the side of both wraps. The man that I spoke to told me that the phone girl must not have understood me because it is more normal for the Caesar wrap to come with dressing on it. At this point, this man told me that in order to have in my possession the order that I had placed over the phone for delivery, I would have to come pick up the correct wrap myself. So, to eat what I ordered for food delivery, I would have to go pick it up. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do have a car but I am currently babysitting and would have preferred not to have to put the baby in the car for that.. but if I didn’t have a car nor license, this man would have been telling me that Because they messed up my order I can no longer have the correct order. This is upsetting because I am worried that when I want to eat my wrap in about an hour or two it will soggy and...
