Oakeside Bloomfield Cultural Center — Attraction in Bloomfield

What a great wedding venue! We had our wedding there in the beginning of April this year. We were looking for a place that wasn't too cheesy or a lame dance hall. We immediately fell in love with this place the minute we saw pictures online. The mansion has such character! Our initial meeting with Inez was relaxed and informative. She was very open to suggestions, ideas, additions, changes, etc. She couldn't have been more clear that this was OUR wedding. They were happy to assist in any manner that would make us happy. The cocktail hour was in the mansion itself. The passed h'orderves were all delicious! There was a farm table and we requested a pasta station. Everything was paid out nicely. The liquor is not include but there is a buy rite in Bloomfield that partners with them for about $7 a person. We added upgrades and it came out to about $12 a person. The overall grounds are so cool and if you have a nice day, your guests and you can explore while enjoying each other's company and a drink or two. The dinner is set up inside a permanent tent which has hard floors (no sinking in) and glass doors for an entrance. Between the house and the tent is a nice fountain to walk around. Inside there is enough room for tables, dance floor, dj booth, bar, photo booth, and the best of company. Dinner was delicious. We choose a duet which includes two entrees on one plate. Dessert was also yummy. At the end of the night they helped us pack up and load up. It was nicely done overall and Inez along with all the management and servers of Frungillo...

The Oakeside Mansion in Bloomfield is a stunning venue if you love dramatic backdrops, victorian aesthetics, and dream of living in the past. It was the perfect location for my 1920s speakeasy wedding.

Pricing was very affordable, especially compared to what a typical North Jersey wedding would cost.

With that said, you have to be mindful and vigilant of timelines and plans. Be prepared to stay on top of them in regards to communication, it was a hassle to get answers or finalize things. (It was honestly the most stressful part of planning my wedding - just the lack of timely communication and confirmation) Be sure to keep documentation/copies of everything.

Despite the communication hiccups though, it all worked out beautifully in the end.

This place was absolutely amazing I would recommend it to everyone. My buddy had his wedding reception there and they accommodated everything he asked, set a beautiful scene, and made it one hell of a night. I recommend this to everyone this place is such a great establishment with beautiful and historic accoutrements it was beautiful beautiful beautiful. I would recommend this to everyone again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again. In all honesty I recommend this so everyone please go they will do everything in their power to make you have the best night of your entire life...
