Amazing food is an understatement! Think the price point was good especially for the amount of food as well as the taste and quality. Really like the atmosphere and how it’s more casual up at the bar if you’re looking for a more relaxed setting. Think you could get away with casual to dressed up attire easily. Really cool decorations and loved that they brought back to life a lot of the original pieces of the historic building. Friendly staff and even the owner/ chef was out walking around greeting people which I thought was awesome. Really don’t think you could go wrong with anything on the menu! The pork belly for an appetizer. I had the “One Duck Served Two Ways” which is probably one of the best duck I’ve had. My husband had the “Meat Sweats”…don’t underestimate this one it’s HUGE!!!! And the famous bread pudding to top it all off. Needless to say neither one of us went hungry and went home with plenty of leftovers! Think this is finally a restaurant to last the test of time here and can’t wait to go back!

Arguably the best food in the Sun Valley area. Jay and his crew do it up right, every single time we’re in here. My husband and I went in for dinner last night, I had the braised lamb shank over a bad of the creamiest polenta, it literally fell off the bone, every single bite was Indescribably delicious. My husband had the prime cut ribeye over roasted potatoes, absolutely melt in your mouth. Jay topped it off by sending us out some dessert; bread pudding. We’re not normally desert people, but it was absolutely to die for even though we were stuffed to the gills, we ate it! Lol The service was fantastic as usual, Patrick was our server in the bar area and he was super attentive and very friendly! The food runners and hostess crew is always on top of their game. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I will dreaming of this meal until I return! We stumbled upon this gem by chance. We were after some quick counter-service food since we were dressed in outdoor work clothes but when we found our intended destination closed, we popped into Cutthroat. Even though this is definitely an elevated dining experience, there was no judgement from the staff (this is Idaho after all 😂). Great beer selection on tap, the mussels (and all 100lbs of butter) were incredible, and our entrees were unbelievable (pictured, Tupelo chicken and Moose steak). From presentation to taste, everything was perfect. We’ll definitely be back and we’ll save room for dessert and maybe even wear clean shirts.

We've been waiting a long time to go to this restaurant. Went for our anniversary and did a brunch.

THE GOOD: the ambiance in the dining area is nice, the server and the bus staff were all friendly.

THE BAD: We had the mussels / Basque sausage appetizer. Flavors were there, but you could tell it had been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. Butter sauce in the dish had coagulated and mussels were rubbery. I had the bay shrimp omelette (a brunch special) and I'm not kidding it was THE WORST omelette I've EVER had. Dry, flavorless, sad. I choked down half of it. My fiancé ordered the NY strip steak, asked for it medium and it came ruby red raw inside. Had to send it back. By then, we both lost our mojo for the brunch.

SERVICE WAS TERRIBLE: Everyone seemed out of sync, not refilling our drinks, took forever to get our bill run, my fiancé took our bill to the bar himself. The server was frazzled and we literally had to keep flagging people down throughout the meal. We wanted to like this place, but sadly can't. For the prices, service, meat cooking, appetizer temperatures and a basic omelette should be flawless. All were pretty bad. We...
