Gigi's Tacos and Margaritas Belleviue — Restaurant in Bellevue

First off what is it with the people in this town!?!? Always complaining we don’t have anything in this town but then CONTINUING to bash anything that’s not a bar or pizza joint. Remember where you are!! This is a small town and small business. They are trying to get started in a town with NOTHING! And on top of that we have people leaving negative reviews that honestly just sound like over entitled social media nuts. If you don’t have more than 10 reviews get outta here with your opinion. You lack credibility! I have been to Gigis 3 times. And just like any other place on this planet they have good nights and off nights. How about we give them a chance to get situated. Our third and last visit to this establishment. The wait staff didn’t know how to pronounce the menu items and had a somewhat salty demeanor, as though she was very inconvenienced by having to take our order. The house margarita looked and tasted like spiked limeade, which turns out it was, as I saw them pouring it from a gallon limeade jug into the glasses as we were leaving. Definitely more punch than tequila.The food was not great. My shrimp dish smelled like beached dead fish and I did end up returning it up the kitchen. They did make it right by allowing me to reorder a different dish. They struggled getting the bill right, over charging our companions by 100%, which took quite awhile for them to figure out how to correct. Overall a very underwhelming experience. We were very impressed with our experience at GiGi’s! They had some menu options that you typically don’t find at Mexican restaurants around here (ex: jicama and coconut shrimp on a taco). Birria was on point. It also wasn’t chaotic or overly loud inside. Our server (Alex) was super friendly and took the time to talk through some food questions with us and made sure everyone at the table was actually ready to order.
