Korean House for me is one of those places that is really good, but I sometimes forget about. It's tucked away deep in Bellevue right outside of the Air Force Base's Northeast gates.
The owners are really sweet and it's nice to stop in and grab a meal. Everything I've had from this restaurant has been pretty good, but my favorite is the Korean Short Ribs. Oh my, I could eat those forever. They have a sweet and savory taste that just makes your tongue happy. Put them on a bed of rice and let the juices flow for an extra treat.
I hadn't tried the dumplings before so I figured today was a good day to order them. We liked them. I also ordered the beef and noodles for the first time and they didn't disappoint either.
As far as price goes I'd say the cost is great. Some Korean places can be a little pricey, but this is very affordable with meals on average between $8.75 - $10.50. You receive plenty of food with you'r order as there is rice and veggies with most dishes. We always have leftovers.
The only semi-negative mark would be that they aren't open on weekends, but that isn't a big deal. I would recommend giving it a try for sure!...
Read moreTo say anything negative is like criticizing your grandma’s cooking. I ordered the house special. Bulgogi, chicken & rib. It was ok I guess but just thinly sliced large flat slices of grilled meat, and no juices or anything so it became dry & tedious to eat. I have only had brothy skinny sliced strips of bulgogi, chicken in a sauce, or saucy ribs at all the other local & far away Korean places I’ve been to. The steamed rice was fresh & good. Banchan were cabbage kimchi, spicy zucchini & pickled daikon. I guess I am used to more variety. It wasn’t a bad meal but it wouldn’t be a place I would take someone who’s not had Korean before. Service was the pace you get with one person cooking & taking orders & all, but I didn’t mind because I didn’t expect fast food. I might try it again but order something that isn’t just meat, like japchae or try...
Read moreIt's a tiny restaurant with a lot of personality. The menu is small with only one soup option, but everyone agreed that the broth was delicious. We ordered the house special which includes all three meats. I would recommend this one so that you can try everything to figure out what you prefer. We all agreed that the chicken was fantastic along with the beef ribs. The regular beef will go be was just okay. Most of the Korean restaurants I go to usually have three sides. This one had five which was a nice number. All the meals also came with rice.
It's just outside of Coffman heights in offut. You can park outside of the restaurant in a small parking lot that is shared with the rest of the strip mall. It can get quite busy at lunch time as it is one of the closest restaurants...
