Wanted to share some info with people that are expecting to be able to dine-in at the Riverside Dr. Taco Bell in Beloit, WI. Was THOROUGHLY DISGUSTED with this Taco Bell earlier today. Found out again that their lobby was closed. This, coming after I was told last week by their "area coach", that their lobby would be open this past Thursday(2 days ago). I met with her face to face in the past week and was told this. I hate to say it but it appears to me that I was lied to. This has always been one of my favorite fast food restaurants to dine-in. Not sure if I will ever patronize this location again!! There was a sign that was posted on the door in late November that stated that their lobby was closed for "maintenance". Sounded a bit strange to me. That turned out to be another lie. Do not understand why a business can't be honest with people. I found out, quite accidently, when I did enter(door was not locked) that the REAL reason for the dining room being closed was because they were interviewing for jobs and was currently "short staffed". It would have been nice if the real reason had been given. The lobby of this Taco Bell location has now been closed for 2+ months. I, personally, do not like drive through. In fact, when I was leaving the parking lot in the past half hour, I saw another customer try to enter and was turned away. I would venture a guess that that has happened many times in their 2+ month dine-in closure. When I went up to the drive through speaker, I was told it "may" be another 2 weeks before the lobby opens. Seems to me that there is a huge communication problem here. In any case, I will now take my business to the other Taco Bell in town that doesn't seem to have a staffing problem. Just thought that people in town and travelers might like to know the REAL reason for the dine-in still being closed. AN UPDATE---This location is now open, somewhat, but not today(3/5/22) as, I guess, they were experiencing a "staff shortage". Had to walk around to the drive-thru window to get an answer. Again, NO reason given for closing the lobby after they just opened it in the past 2 weeks or so. Shocking, considering that was the real reason for the dine-in being closed for close to 3 months. Left, once again, without...
Read moreOver the last two weeks I have went to Taco Bell on Riverside Drive in Beloit, WI a couple times. This Taco Bell has they rudest and slowest employees I have ever seen. The final straw was on the 4th of July. I arrived at the store at 11:12 pm. The lobby was locked, however there was a group of people inside eating. The lobby is open until 12 am daily. While sitting in line I watched the employees and the people in the lobby running around, laughing, and talking. After waiting in line for 35 minutes, just to get to the speaker, the girl taking orders says: "Thank you for coming to Taco Bell. Happy 4th of July. You see all these cars? It's going to take forever, but you can order if you want." The only reason I rode out the 35-minute wait, was because I was picking up a delivery order. Anyway, I told the lady what order I was there to pick- up. She told me it wasn't ready, but I could drive around to the window. Once I finally get to the window, the same girl asks me if I stopped at the speaker first. She then proceeded to tell me that the order isn't ready, and I need to go around and wait in line again while they figure the order out. Long story short, the customer I was picking up food for ended up canceling her order because of the wait time. I lost 45 minutes' worth of pay. This location needs to hire people who want to work. They could use a manager to keep the employees focused too. I absolutely dread every order that has to be picked up at this location. I end up in line for 15 to 20 minutes every time I pick up from the Riverside location, but the 4th of July...
Read moreHigher prices and lower customer service these days. I had the Mexican pizza. It was fresh-tasting and made just right. I also had a bean burrito. It too was fresh-tasting and made perfectly, even included the right amount of red-sauce that can often be non-existent on most visits to numerous locations. Also the added sour cream was even pretty evenly distributed throughout, and not just a blob in the last bite or two. The baja blast soda was available & good too. The cantina chicken crispy taco was, well, I can't really say much about this item, because when I asked them to add one to my order at the window, I was given a rather absurd answer. Because my food order was already up I could add the cantina chicken crispy taco but I would have to drive around and get back in line in the drive thru to pick it up, while the rest of my order got cold in my car. She further explained that was their policy. I've been going to this Taco Bell for decades and now and then me or someone in the car asked to add one simple item, like a crispy taco, to their order and they always accommodated with no issues and they were always quick too. Nowadays, Taco Bell has raised their prices high enough that they really don't need to care about customers so much, even when they are wanting to try the 'new' food item they are promoting. Frankly, if the food menus weren't video screens, constantly changing I probably would've seen the new item I wanted to try and added it to the order before I started pulling away. Just disappointed with the new direction they seem...
