I personally thought the Tacos were OK nothing spectacular! As you can see from the photos I spent $16 on 3 tacos (birria, barbacoa x2) and a scoop of beans/rice! Here are the missed opportunities: -The tacos are tiny and barely any filling no wonder my bag and Tacos were so light! Nodipping sauce for the one birria taco! -rice was bland, but the refried beans were ok yet COLD. I would suggest adding a cilantro lime rice, a side of black beans HOT, or even a garden salad to the box to make it worth $16! When I think of $16 I think of enough food to atleast be shared between 2ppl or to have left overs. Not the case here! $16 for 3 tiny half filled tacos! -If you’re only looking for BEEF options then this is your place. No shrimp, or fish tacos and they need more variety and sides. I think there is chicken but I didn’t get it. -If you’re looking for a spice kick, they don’t have that either no spicy sauces so I used my own as you see below! I would suggest adding a Tapatio spicy sauce, or even a grilled jalapeño on the side! Pros: -The quality of the food was good again very skimp on the VOLUME! Very fresh but not worth $16 dollars for what I paid for all 3 birria tacos with little filling. -The family is very nice, as they should be for a new business. -Nice to have a different option in the neighborhood, but they have a long way to go! Final thoughts: Quality is good, food was fresh. If you only want BEEF tacos go here! For now I will stick to following @Big Boys Tacos Food Truck based in La plata (If you know you know!) because you get more bang for your buck!! The prices are the same but the volume of meat is more. See my Big Boy Tacos compared to this places below. I’d even go to chipotle for Tacos and toppings for $16 rather than eat here again. I hope they do well. I may come back once they’ve been open a little longer and they need to add salads to the menu as well even Taco bowls/ salads, etc. *Disclaimer: THE LAST PHOTO IN THE TIN BOWL IS BIG BOY TACOS! Not Vanesa’s! Added the photo for quality comparison. I paid $15.80 for those Tacos.

Amazing! Visited for the first time and the woman taking my order was extremely patient, offered menu suggestions, and was enthusiastic. I ordered the birria nachos and tried the 4 for 10 Taco Tuesday special, ordering two barbacoa tacos, one chicken, and one steak. I absolutely loved the food! I would give it a 9 out of 10! I would say it’s the best Mexican food I’ve had in the DMV. In addition, the sauces were also delicious. The green sauce had a cilantro base and brought my tacos to another level. The chili oil was also a great addition as I can appreciate spice. The atmosphere was relaxed as you order from a take-out window and can sit in a small patio area outside as you wait for your order. All in all, I would 100% recommend as a no-frills authentic Mexican cuisine experience with amazing service and a chill atmosphere.

$15 for this! The most disappointing meal I've had in a long time. The thimble of salsa was watery and flavorless. The guacamole was a sauce not actual guacamole. Look at how little rice and beans they give you. Mexican rice is 1 of my favorite dishes but this was bland and flavorless. I was hoping for traditional tacos but I got store bought taco shells with just a little bit of meat. Do not waste your hard earned money on this place. We will never eat here again.

If you’re looking for an unforgettable culinary experience, Vanessa’s Sabor Latino in Bryans Road, MD, is a true hidden gem that deserves all the praise!

The food here is absolutely incredible. The elote is a must-try—perfectly seasoned, with just the right amount of creamy, cheesy goodness. The burrito is not only massive but also packed with fresh and flavorful ingredients that will leave you satisfied for hours. The chicken is tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, bursting with authentic Latin flavor.

I can’t rave enough about their quesadillas—crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and utterly delicious. And don’t skip the apple soda; it’s refreshingly appley and pairs perfectly with any dish.

But what really takes everything to the next level is the cilantro lime sauce—a flavor bomb that elevates every bite. I also highly recommend getting the beans and eating them with chips—such a simple combination, but it’s executed so well that it’s downright addictive.

Vanessa’s Sabor Latino has quickly become one of my favorite spots. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or dinner, this place will leave you raving about the food long after your meal is over. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

Also it’s important to mention they give back to the community! They have helped Matthew Henson raise PTO funds and celebrate...

I stopped by for the first time today (10/18/24) on the recommendation from a co-worker. The special was 3 tacos (any style) for a discounted price. I took advantage of this and ended up with a shedded beef on a corn tortilla, a steak on a corn tortilla, and a shrimp on a flour tortilla. Each one was freshly prepared and packed with yummyness. I also sprang for the ground beef nachos and was not disappointed at all. I could just tell that all of this food was freshly prepared and constructed with the idea that someone was going to have a good meal. As a bonus, Vanessa, the owner, came out with a cup of iced pineapple water and gave it to me. She sat and talked with me for several minutes while I enjoyed her offerings. All and all it was a 5 star experience. I did derate the atmosphere because of, well it's in the back of a parking lot without much of a view or welcoming environment. But if you want some excitement Latino fair... definitely don't miss an...
