In my humble opinion, you will not find a better Italian restaurant in the Ohio River Valley, provided that we are talking strictly about the Benwood location. I don't have much experience with the other locations and I have no need to. I will say that DaVinci's, in Parkersburg, is a very, very close second, but it's also a hike from my house, comparatively.
-The staff is extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. You're family there.
-Ticket times are usually very short, though sometimes they can be a bit longer if the restaurant is slammed, which isn't unexpected or unreasonable.
-The prices, with respect to the portion sizes, are extremely reasonable. If you can finish a calzone in one sitting, I will be genuinely impressed because it literally fills a plate and needs to be cut in half to fit inside of a to go box.
-The taste and quality are second to none. I love their salads and I don't normally like salads. They have to be made fresh to be that crisp, but for the life of me, I can't discern how that's logistically possible. With regards to their pasta, I normally don't like chicken alfredo. On our last dinner date, my girlfriend ordered their chicken alfredo. I tried it and ended up eating half.
-If you have a bad experience or if your food is not to your liking, politely bring it to their attention. They will do their level best to make it right. They genuinely care, that's why they've been in business so long and why they survived the pandemic lockdowns, I suspect.
-I will say that I wish the bar staff had the knowledge and supplies to make more kinds of cocktails, but you can't have everything, and what they do make is usually fantastic.
I have been eating at Undo's in Benwood since I was old enough to remember. I'm...
Read moreLove going here... Normally I just get a couple of appetizers and they've always been good. The artichoke spinach dip as well as the meatballs are stellar. However, this last time I decided to actually get a meal... They brought the wrong one first of all... And I noticed right away but I just let it go. It wasn't that big of a difference... But the food was very sub par. I was very surprised at this. The chicken was overcooked and dry and the cheese that they had put on top of it was so hard I couldn't chew it. They forgot to put dressing on my salad as well. They were so busy, as they always are on Friday nights.. I just ended up eating the salad without dressing... probably better for my diet anyway but, just saying. Having said this, like I said, normally I just get the appetizers. Friday nights they have karaoke and it is just so so much fun! Staff is extremely friendly and it keeps me coming...
Read moreWhere do I begin? 1. Took well over 30 some minutes to get bread, so that led to about 45-60 mins til we got our dinner. 2. Ordered Fettuccine Alfredo w/chicken, Lasagna and Chicken Parm. Something about that Lasagna was just wrong. Tasted outdated, overcooked, I don’t kno what but what I do kno is it was not good. The chicken parm was even worse. Start by the pasta was warm at best. My chicken wasn’t breaded in any way whatsoever. Tried masking the unseasoned, unbreaded chicken by a dry red sauce and cheese. Now, did we complain or mention anything to our waiter or management? We did not. We shouldn’t have had to. Our waitress should have seen that we did not eat our entrees and either had went ahead and discounted the bill or should have sent management. I’ve been eating at this establishment for a very long period of time and unfortunately that was...
