I was in the area for an ice cream event, and decided to grab dinner before dessert. There's several areas to get food in the area I believe, but this one stood out to me (cool name) and it has good reviews! We walked in into a small sports / dive bar, and it was pretty packed & loud so we asked to sit outside. Their patio was a good size and the tables were spacious between everyone else, so preferred to sit out there anyway.
For such a small spot, their menu was surprisingly was filled with a large variety of options! It had a bit of everything. but I didn't want to fill up too much. I had to save room for dessert at the ice cream parlor nearby. I brought my mom here, so we split the Spinach Artichoke Dip, which was really hot when it came out so we ended up mixing it a bit, and it was so even better with the bread! Definitely shareable size.
I ordered the Super Italian Sub, and it was filled with like 5 meats and even had banana peppers which gave the sub a good flavor! It was delicious & really filling, I only ended up eating half of it and saved the rest of next day. My mom had the Steak Gyro which I got to try but thought it was just alright. I gotta have lamb when ordering gyros, everyone knows the rule! But to each his own.
Our server was really attentive and nice. She served everything really timely, and checked on us at good times if we needed anything.
If we're ever in the area, I'd definitely...
Read moreBeen going here for about a year. Service has always been hit or miss. It’s a bit overpriced for being a bar and grill, but there is money in the area so I figured it’s a gouge like most places in Lewis Center. We like the food and the atmosphere so we overlooked the shortcomings. However tonight I noticed some unsanitary conditions in the kitchen. Specifically the cooks were literally eating their dinner/lunch while hovering over the food they were preparing. It looked like to me they were eating finger food and they were definetly not washing their hands in between bites. Not to mention one was chewing with his mouth open (love some “already been chewed food” mixed in with my dinner). Being someone that works in the health field this really disgusted me. Many illness’s are passed by saliva (not to mention this is the beginning of flu season, already seen a few positives so far this year). Furthermore depending on what they were eating they could potentially and unwittingly be adding allergens to someone’s food. I am so disappointed as the Stromboli is one of my favorite dishes. I approached the manager and my concerns were dismissed. Myself and my extended family all live local. I plan on letting everyone know that this business does not seem to care about the health of...
Read moreI've been to this place multiple times and the food is always good. Unfortunately, tonight I brought my whole family to dine in, and had the rudest waitress. We love to support small business but I have never been treated so poorly at any restaurant. I sadly will not support this place anymore. From the moment we walked in the waitress acted irritated that we were there. She brought my daughters the wrong drinks and they politely told her what they ordered and she stormed off. She then brought us the wrong appetizer and when I told her what we actually ordered she told me “No- this is what you ordered, but whatever” and stormed off to take it back to the kitchen. I was so confused by her attitude that the next time she came to our table I asked her if I did something to upset her. She proceeded to tell me that I had been rude since I walked in and she was having a bad night. I have been a waitress before and I would never be rude even though she had gotten multiple things wrong. This was in front of my whole family- it was humiliating and frankly very disappointing. I hope no one else ever has to experience this woman’s hatred. What an embarrassment to this...
