My family and I decided we wanted to go out to dinner it was 9:15 I called the restaurant to make sure it was okay to come sit down still since they claed.tp close at 10. Upon walking into the restaurant my kids and I waited by the seating chart for 5 minutes before anyone approached us then we asked for a table out of the way they were not busy and they put us literally right in the middle of an aisle then they put us at a booth and we overheard a lady say that's my table and I don't want any more tables. 10 minutes goes by and we have not been approached still a several we have seen before said oh I remember you guys all gladly take your server your table Emily was her name she took our drink order everything was fine my husband and I both ordered a drink and one was a Hawaiian Punch we asked for top shelf we overheard the bartender saying I'm not going to open a top shelf bottle just to make your customer two drinks. When we got our drinks back they tasted just like water we told Emily our waiter and she tried to get a new drink for us but her manager refused to let her since at this point it was 10:00 and that food had not even been brought out we didn't receive our food until about 10:15 at that point we've been here already an hour. Then it was brought out and to go dishes and half of our order was missing I have never been so mistreated by staff at a restaurant where we heard another employee, an older man walk by our table and slur his table about ordering the wrong number of drinks. I still left Emily the server a nice tip as it really wasn't her fault and then proceeded to call the manager, Evan, of the store who informed me that there was nothing he could do about the situation and he was not going to do anything about the staff mistreating us and refusing to serve food when they clearly told me it was fine that I came in when I first called. It was such an issue why wouldn't they have said something when I called at 9: 10 to verify that it was fine to come still. They're door does say that they are open 1AM. I also informed him I would be contacting corporate as I have never been treated like this at a restaurant before and he told me he really doesn't know what they're going to do the people to help me and hung up the phone. If you're looking at going to this restaurant with your family your children to have a good time and treat your kids I would definitely avoid this restaurant until they do an overhaul of their employees and their attitudes I would choose McDonald's over this place any day. Maybe it's just a Central Vermont thing but I really doubt it. Sidenote: we were also going to tip all the waiters in the building $40 as a kind gesture until I realized how ignorant unpleasant they were. Sidenote 2: my children had to eat with their fingers as there was no silverware given to us until we had to request twice for them Sidenote 3: when I called to get the manager's name the waitress I had tipped, the previously another visit $100 tab, laughed and snickered as if it was a joke.
I am going corporate as soon as I can get on the phone in the morning and will update on what they have to say embarrassed we're very upset then it gets eat their food as we were rushed out the restaurant but we had been there and plenty of time to get our food...
Read moreWe have been to this Applebees many times. Usually the service is pretty good,today however was a different matter. We sat at the bar and ordered our iced tea from the bartender Kayln who was friendly as could be and welcomed us warmly. We ordered nachos and then waited. About 5 minutes after we ordered them a couple of gentlemen came in and ordered their drinks and food. We watched as their food was brought out...burgers and tacos. Then we waited some more,Kayln looked over and saw they had food and we did not so she went to check on our order. She informed us it would be out shortly and apologized, she also stated her manager would be out to speak with us...it had been about a half hour wait at this time. The manager did not come out and our nachos arrived about 10 minutes later. About a third of the way into our nachos I bit something decidedly not food and pulled a small plastic cap out of my mouth. I called Kalyn over and she apologized and went to find her manager. She apologized again and stated that the manager would be out to speak with us. The manager did come out a few minutes later and spoke with us. I showed her the plastic piece,she apologized and started making excuses...we had a large 300 dollar order come through and I am sorry it to so long ...and we explained how the other people had their food before us...not much of a response... she looked at the plastic piece and stated she would be speaking with her cook about this...not much of an apology at all just a little more excuses..." I will take those off your bill you will only have to pay for your drinks" ...wow thanks. Not Impressed. I would have put her name in the review too but it was not...
Read moreMy family and I ate here this evening and the restaurant was very busy. We were seated at a high table and our waitress was the bartender. The bartender was tending to a full seated bar and tables. She was very attentive spite having so many patrons she was serving. My wife and daughter were delivered their food and I was told mine would be to follow. After about ten minutes had gone by our waitress noticed my food was not there and said she would go check on it. Immediately after the manager who said he was visiting from NH. He came to inform me he was really sorry he had to tell me that there was a miscommunication with my meal. The prime rib sandwich I ordered was unavailable and he told me he couldn't apologize enough and told me he would like to offer to get me whatever I would like. He asked if I needed a few minutes to decide and apologized several more times. I told him I would take the Whiskey Burger like my wife was eating and asked if I could get it to go. He told me he would absolutely get that and it would be on the house and he asked if he could do anymore to make it right. I had the burger meal out to me in under 10 minutes was told our entire meal was on the house. He apologized again and asked if they could do anymore. I myself work in management and I must say that the manager handled the situation very professionally and I could tell that he genuinely felt bad. The food was excellent and the manager and waitress outstanding. Mistakes are going to happen, it is all in the way you handle them when they do arise. I will definitely go back to...
