Mizu Sushi — Restaurant in Bernards Township

We frequented this place often, until today. I called to ask when their last fish delivery was because the town has been without power for the last week. I was asked "why are you asking this" multiple times before I was eventually hung up on. I called back to ask again hoping I would get another employee on the phone and I got the same rude woman and was hung up for the second time. I called a third time and a man answered the phone, however, he gave the phone to the same woman and I was told "if you have to ask this, you shouldn't be buying sushi" and then proceeded to hang up on me again. I was not trying to be rude by asking when the last fish delivery was, I was simply making sure I was getting fresh sushi considering the majority of town, including the area where the restaurant is located, had been without power for a week. Needless to say, I will never buy from this place again. They should think about not letting the woman answer the phone. Would have given zero stars if that...

I frequent many sushi restaurants around the area. I have never vowed to not return to one, but this place somehow managed just that. The miso soup and kani salad were enjoyable, but the sushi rolls were not. I got a few different rolls but even the most standard of rolls (spicy tuna) was of the worst I've ever had. I was there with a coworker who was similarly dismayed with the taste of their rolls. Mizu was also more expensive than most. Oh well, the 4.7 rating this place had going...

Rolls looked great, tasted meh. Once again I forgot to fake pictures. Sigh. We asked for very spicy, got bland. Place is definitely more of a takeout. Being new to town, we didn't know. Can seat about 6 people. Woman at counter & register was nice. Chef had either no personality or does not understand English. I think it's the latter. Total for 2 rolls and 2 hand rolls was about $40. Their salmon skin handroll was great! Good amount of fish on skin. ...
