I’ve been going to this sonic since I was in high school and I am now 30. It’s always been good service. Unfortunately management has become a joke and I will not be returning. It was a hot day so they were absolutely packed. Not a problem. I pressed the button. Waited at least 10 min. Nothing. I stopped a gentlemen who worked there and he told me it wasn’t working (no sign) and directed me to use another. So I went to the next one, he took my order…. Two large ocean waters. I waited more than 30 min. I looked over and this woman who had ordered and parked at a stale gets out of her car and waits by the front door until someone comes out. It was the same guy. It seemed she had ordered through the QR code (which most people did too)… he went in (I could see him through the window) searching for her food and drink. Which didn’t seem to have even been all the way ready. He brings it right out. I was a bit shocked. I asked the other staff who the manager was and she said it was him. I asked for his attention and I said, hey I just ordered two ocean waters about 20-30 min ago. He said he went and got hers because she had already paid with card and since I am paying with cash, I would have to wait. WHATTTT?!?? 🤣🤣They both copped an attitude and said we’re busy can’t you tell. I mean yes baby girl but you catch a whole lot more flies with honey then you do vinegar. Mind you, my two ocean waters were a whole $3 and some change. I was going to give them 5 and call it a day but I decided to take my money elsewhere. Read moreHaving eaten here three times, since we have been in the 8th South area, I cannot say this location meets the standards I've come to expect from Sonic. Two of our visits, our walk up orders (when you place your order and eat at the picnic tables) ended up completely wrong. Though it may seem minor, when a customer asks that something be served "plain", or "hold the _", the reasoning can far more serious than them being "picky".
Incorrectly filling an order, especially on custom requests, like mentioned above, says to the customer: "we don't respect you, and do not care what you request". With the plethora of fast food restaurants available, if a location repeatedly mess orders up, customers Will quickly go elsewhere! Sadly, that's what we've done and recommend others we know in the area do as well. Why waste your time and hard earned money on "premium" fast food, when the restaurant has ZERO concern on getting even a basic order request correct?
As for their food and selection, it's what you'll find at most Sonic locations. Their fried items are slightly on the "well done" end of the spectrum, but the other items seem to be prepared well. What separates them from the numerous other locations we've patronized is the utter lack of care and concern for correctly filling orders. If you could care less about whether they ignore any requests you have (hold the mayo, no pickles please, etc) and the fries & corn dogs being slightly over fried, then hey, this location might just be right...
Read moreOn April 18th 2016, Sonic had a promotion on cheeseburgers for half price. I thought to myself.... WOW.... Im gonna stop in to take advantage of that promotion. So I pulled into the 8th avenue location and ordered 3 cheeseburgers and some fries. After the 35 minute wait, I finally received my food. This is where I became unraveled. When the sock hop read me my order of what was in the bag, all 3 burgers I ordered was plain with tomatoes and mustard. I specifically ordered 3 burgers with everything and NO tomatoes. I suggested that she go back in and bring me back the dressings...(lettuce and onion ) so she said she would be back. Well then the sock hop went back in and brought me back out a bowl full of TOMATOES ! How hard is it to bring out some onions and lettuce ? I really got frustrated then. After being at that location for over 45 minutes and waiting for just 3 cheeseburgers and fries, I tossed the bowl of tomatoes out the window and drove off very upset. Then when I got home.... one of the cheeseburgers didn't even have a damn burger on it. I called back down there to talk to a manager only to be told they were too busy to come to the phone. I am advising anyone that likes sonic, to stay away from that location. Between the loud music and all the partying I heard coming from inside that location, I'm sure that I wasn't the only person that was disappointed that evening. #badservice....
