Hot Dogs Plus — Restaurant in Bertrand Township

Small town and family-owned diner feel to this place. We drove past several times in the past and finally decided to stop in this last Friday. It did NOT disappoint!! My husband and I ordered 4 different kinds of hot dogs and then did half order of fries for both of us and a drink. The lady running the front counter was absolutely fantastic. She asked us if everything that came on each of our dogs was ok and treated us so well!!! We then sat down and waited for our food, and she brought it out right to us. At that moment she noticed my drink was empty (since I was thirsty when we got there), and she asked me if she could refill my drink. I was not expecting that to say the least, I was believing that I would get up and refill it when I needed to. She made sure to give us extra napkins with everything, which was great because we definitely needed them. I wish I would have taken some pictures before we started eating, but I was hungry lol. Do yourself a favor and stop in here the next time you are in the Niles area, if you don't already stop here or base going places based off the reviews like this. I know we will...

This place ROCKS! We are Chicago xplants and it is very difficult to find a good authentic "Chicago Dog" in the NW Ind., SW MI area. Hot Dogs Plus knows how to turn out an AWESOME Chicago Dog! In addition they have great hamburgers and their Pork Tenderloin sandwich is delicious as well. They serve coke products which is a plus and the service us outstanding. These folKs hustle big time Even during lunch hour the wait time is not long. It's a tiny place with huge flavors and a big heart!! Most of the other reviews are spot on. Service is super fast and friendly. Greeted with a friendly smile, order was taken quickly and with precision. Food came out quickly and hot. Everything was cooked to order. My sons corn dog was a little dark, but not what I would call burnt. He ate the whole thing, and they still brought him out another one because they didnt like the way that the first one looked. Overall the food was good, but I would not say the best in the area. A steamed hot dog bun would make the dogs better, but thats my own preference. We will definitely go back and try some of the other menu items on...
