Scicchitano’s Pizzeria Berwick Pa — Restaurant in Berwick

5 stars for the food. Amazing. Would order here any day of week. 1 star for lying directly to my face and forcing me to take my pizza and drive it 35 mins home to eat it. Came in at 7:30, google business hours say open until 8, clearly posted hours on the building say 8. Lady at the counter presumably the owner looked me right in the face and said we close at 7:45. If you want your good you’ll have to take it to go. Would have been no problem if I didn’t live 35 mins away. Told me I would be allowed to eat my hoagie there since it was made very quickly, we had the hoagie done and cleaned up by 7:46. Pizza came out at 7:47. We easily could have eaten quickly and been out of there by 8 o clock. I would have happily ate quickly and got out of there by 8 to respect there hours. I had my entire family with me including little kids who were very hungry. By the time we get home pizza will need to be reheated. If I knew they were open until 7:45 and not 8 as posted I never would have went there. I understand it isn’t very convenient to have people come in that close to closing and we don’t like to do that, but in this situation we 100% would have got out of there by 8. If you want to close at “7:45” change your hours to 7:45. Very...

THIS PLACE IS NOT IT.

I had addressed an issue we had with our order via private messages. They then decided to call my husband 3 times over it! 3 times in a matter of 30 minutes. I was advised to ask for the owners as the next time I order they’ll pay extra attention to it. This has made me extremely uncomfortable to even think about ordering from them. Below is the original message that I had sent out. It was being handled by myself, there was absolutely no reason to call my spouse over it. I will absolutely never come back in, nor recommend. This is just highly unprofessional & weird.

I had my husband pop in after work as doagies are one of my favorite things. I can’t tell you how disappointed I am.

I never once saw bacon on a roast beef doagie, it was so overloaded, I couldn’t taste a single thing besides the hard, precooked out of a bag bacon, there was no parchment paper in the box, so my doagie got stuck to the box, & I had to force it out. There was no flavor to the roast beef at all, I had to pick apart to just see there was roast beef & taste test that by itself, the crust was hard as a rock. Beyond disappointed...

Pizza was very good, but service was disappointing. They close at 8, we called at 7:35 and they said pizza (one large) will be ready in 10 minutes. We got caught in a storm and traffic on the way, and they called at 7:55 asking where we were. We said we are very close and apologized for getting in traffic. AS we were pulling up to the pizza shop, they called again at 8:01 saying they are closing and want to leave and asked where are we, getting kind of pushy. We were literally pulling into the parking lot, give us a break. If they can't wait an extra two minutes for a customer that was delayed in traffic, then they won't be getting any of our business. Poor customer service and there are plenty of other pizza shops in Berwick to choose...
