I ordered ahead by phone 15 mins prior to me getting there. (Check#3089 7:37pm) I arrive and wait in line and finally pay and end up waiting over 25 mins until I finally look around and I'm the only person still waiting. I asked the young girl there and she's clueless to where my food is at. She tells the larger hispanic man and he begins to look for it and finally tells me it's been sitting in the heater the whole time and then casually tells me not to worry about it after I explain I just wasted 25 mins. Totally disorganized and this was my first and last time going there. How do you lose an order and also don't notice the one person still sitting around waiting. Also the man in front of me in line could not order his Root Beer float in plain English because the girl could not understand what a Root Beer Float was and had to call another worker to place the order. I rather risk my safety and go to Jimmy's Hot Dogs on Pulaski and Grand then to ever give this place...
Read moreI go here after work or when my kids get off work. When it's late and I didn't have time to eat all day it's my to go to place. The food is great! That's when the order is correct though. The past 4 times I've gone, the orders were wrong. The last time I didn't check the bag, so my fault. But if they ask if you want everything on something just say yes and pick it off. Otherwise you get a plain sandwich. But tonight I was missing a hot dog. I ordered 3. Got 2. Wasn't even worth going back. Check your orders before you leave. You just may have to open wrappers too.
Update: after posting this review I did go back. After work, my daughter was sick and wanted soup. I got a quart and a cup of chicken noodle soup. The quart was nice and hot, however first bite of the cup, the soup was cold! Seems like they have them prepped in the fridge? Only thing that makes sense. This place is just...
Read moreAt first glance, this may appear to be nothing more than another fast-food restaurant (and that assessment may just be correct); nonetheless, if you're able, a visit here might just surprise you. The restaurant is overall pretty clean, and the service is what you'd expect at any fast food restaurant. However, it's the menu that will surprise you! Lucky Dog features a very nice and varied assortment of the usual American fare, as well as an unexpected local assortment of dishes that appeal to many. Your kids will love the expanded dessert selection available, and your wallet will appreciate the very reasonable prices (especially in proportion to the amount of food you receive!). I've visited here on and off for nearly 20 years and recommend it to anyone looking for fast food that is, well, slightly better than just your "average"...
